Personnel may take one ACT w/o Essay and one SAT w/Essay 1x free on-base (per lifetime). Contact the DANTES Testing Officer regarding restrictions 910.451.9289. Exams administered on-base may not be accepted by all scholarship programs or recognized by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). Rush scoring is not available for on-base testing. ACT scores released in 3-4 weeks. SAT scores take up to 9weeks. Current military I.D. required for all testing. Dates subject to change without notice. OFF-BASE: ACT w/Essay (optional), SAT Subject, and SAT w/o Essay (optional), only available at civilian National Testing Centers (NTC). ACTs visit www.actstudent.org and SATs visit www.collegeboard.org for testing information and registration. Off-base testing widely accepted by the NCAA and most academic institutions worldwide. MASP (MILITARY ACADEMIC SKILLS PROGRAM): Four week daytime, or six week nighttime, refresher courses available. Classes designed to prepare students for college, or to take the ASVAB/AFCT. Curriculum review includes Reading, Writing, Basic & Practical Math, and Communication/Grammar. Computer assisted instruction. Classes conducted in the John A. Lejeune Education Center. ADULT LEARNING LAB/TUTORING: Free personal tutoring and instructional resources available for active duty/reserves, adult family members, and DoD civilians. Must be 18-years of age or older. Contact 910.938.6259.

OASC (ONLINE ACADEMIC SKILLS COURSE): A self-paced program assessing student Vocabulary, Reading Comprehension, and Mathematical skills. Program is comprised of interactive computer-based games, problems, and exercises designed to increase student proficiency. Contact 910.450.9080 for information.

GED (GRADUATE EDUCATION DEVELOPMENT): A 4-subject computer-based high school equivalency exam measuring Science, Social Studies, Mathematics Reasoning, and Language Arts skills. These exams provide adults, who did not complete high school, an opportunity to earn high school equivalency credentials. Active duty/reserve military may qualify for reimbursement. Tests administered off base at National Testing Centers (NTC) only. See separate flier.

eCLEP (ELECTRONIC COLLEGE LEVEL EXAM PROGRAM): Computer-based exams designed to assess student knowledge in college level general education courses; English, Math, History, Science, and electives. Tests equivalent to a full semester of college classes condensed into 90-minute exams. Most student scores issued immediately upon completion. However, essay exams may take up to3weeks for scoring. Exams provide students the option of testing out of general education classes. See separate flier.

eDSST (ELECTRONIC DANTES STANDARDIZED SUBJECT TESTS): Series of computer-based exams designed to assess student knowledge in college level general education courses; Social Sciences, Humanities, Mathematics, Physical Science, and Business & Technology. Exams equivalent to a full semester of college classes condensed into 90-minute tests. Most student score reports issued immediately upon completion. However, essay exams may take up to 3-weeks for scoring. Exams provide students the option of testing out of general education classes. See separate flier.

TOEFL (TEST OF ENGLISH AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE): Exam designed to assess foreign (non-native) student abilities to understand and speak English in an academic or business environment. Exam comprised of 4-parts; Reading, Listening, Speaking, and Writing. Colleges, government agencies, businesses, and medical facilities may require exam as a prerequisite for job placement.

PRAXIS (TEACHER CERTIFICATION): Series of tests measuring knowledge and skills in a variety of subjects deemed necessary for teacher education programs. Individual State prerequisites may apply. Active duty/reserve military may qualify for a 1x reimbursement for PRAXIS I CORE (partial or complete), and 1x for a PRAXIS II Subject exam, per military career. See separate flier.

GRE (GRADUATE RECORD EXAMINATION): Standardized test designed to assess abstract thinking skills in Math, Vocabulary, and Analytical Writing. Not all graduate schools require a GRE. Students should contact their institution for admission requirements. Active duty/reserve military may qualify for a 1x reimbursement for exam. See separate flier.

GMAT (GRADUATE MANAGEMENT ADMISSION’S TEST): A standardized exam for graduate business studies. Many MBA programs utilize the GMAT as a prerequisite for enrollment. Exam measures basic Verbal, Mathematical, and Analytical Writing skills acquired through lifelong learning experiences. Students should contact their institution for admission requirements. Active duty/reserve military may qualify for a 1x reimbursement for exam. See separate flier.

NC DAP (NORTH CAROLINA DIAGNOSTIC & PLACEMENT EXAM): Assessment/placement test for students enrolling in colleges and universities throughout North Carolina. Replaces COMPASS exam. Contact your school for information and applicability.
