Manufactured exclusively for

“A HIGH PERFORMANCE CHASSIS THAT YOU CAN BELIEVE IN.” MISSION: Peak Chassis was begun when Western RV entered the diesel-pusher, Class A motor coach market. Our sole purpose is to design and manufacture a state-of-the-art, custom-built motor coach chassis for the Alpine Coach product line. Our goals are simple: Build a chassis that is rugged and reliable, make it highly serviceable, and have it deliver uncompromising road handling characteristics. RUGGED FRAME: The Peak Chassis engineers could have built any type of frame they wanted to in order to support the Alpine Coach. They could have chosen to build a totally welded structure such as a semi-monocoque or full-monocoque frame. Instead, they chose to build their frame like Kenworth®, Mack®, Peterbilt®, or Volvo® truck companies do. Why you ask? Because of one reason, STRENGTH. Any knowledgeable chassis engineer knows that nothing beats the strength and durability of a rail type constructed chassis. As a customer, you have to ask the question, “If monocoque chassis are so strong, why don't over the road trucks use them?” When shopping for a motor coach, consider the chassis frame as the foundation of your mobile home. It needs to be as strong as it can possibly be. After all, it supports thousands of pounds placed upon it by the body, and the water, fuel and propane. Our frame is rugged, Huck®-Bolted together like a freight train. All brackets, bulkheads, outriggers, steps, wheel wells, and room slides are blueprinted, laser cut from solid steel, and integrated into the frame at our factory; there are no welded on afterthoughts. All our components are attached to the frame using the toughest fasteners in the business – Grade 8 bolts and lock nuts that are zinc plated and yellow dichromate finished to prevent premature rusting. The frame is finished off by being descaled, degreased, and etched with an automotive type soda blast. From the frame preparation booth it gets a primer and overcoat of some of the toughest polyurethane paint in the business. Then to top it off, a tough undercoat is applied to all 4 wheel wells. Take a walk around our chassis frame; it boasts two things, brute strength and quality! RELIABLE COMPONENTS: When we went shopping for the components, we wanted the same thing our customers wanted, the best that money could buy. Therefore it made sense to use the toughest, most reliable, serviceable name-brand components we could get our hands on. We wanted you to say one thing when comparing our chassis with all the others, “Wow, these guys are serious about keeping me on the road instead of in the garage.” SERVICEABLE: Everyone has expressed at one time or another, “Why did they have to put that part where I can't reach it to fix it?” Well, we listened hard to our customers and dealers on this subject, and we made room, lots of room, to tinker on your engine, hydraulic jacks, generator, batteries, etc. No scraped knuckles here! We even came up with an illuminated service center which includes such conveniences as engine and transmission oil dipsticks, a diagnostic plug for troubleshooting your electronic engine, an auxiliary air connector to fill your tires or power air tools. In your service center you also have unobstructed access to your air filter and it can be changed out in minutes. About time, right? We thought a lot about the little details that make a big difference between enjoying your Peak Chassis or just plain parking it. Little details such as painting our chassis frame a

reflective gray color instead of black in order to see and trouble shoot leaks faster. Details such as labeling all our hoses, electrical cables, and harnesses for faster part response from the factory or dealer; or using hub piloted rims like you have on your car so a mechanic can change your wheels and brakes faster than he could with a stud piloted rim. SERVICEABLE (Continued): Details such as an aluminum radiator so it can be fixed anywhere in the U.S. instead of throwing out a plastic one. Call us old-fashioned but we want to say one thing about servicing the chassis, “If it is easier and faster to work on, the better for our dealers and customers.” ROAD MANNERS: Virtually everyone in the automotive business understands that the key to a great handling vehicle is proper weight distribution. While most coach manufactures are struggling with this issue, we worked hard and got it right the first time. What we came up with is a nearly 60% rear and 40% front weight distribution. What this means to the driver and it's occupants is that this coach is as safe as it is fun to drive. It means the components work properly and harmoniously together. It means less driving fatigue to the driver because he is in control, not the coach. Proper weight distribution is everything in regards to how a coach handles and feels when driving down the road. The Alpine Coach, with its custom Peak Chassis underneath, assures one thing to our customers: you invested in a great driving coach that rides like a sports car! SAFETY: Give them a brake! The Alpine Coach was the first motor coach in the industry to offer and certify hydraulic all-wheel antilock disc brakes. Big deal, right? Read on. Why hydraulic disc brakes instead of traditional air drum style brakes? The answer is simple. Less brake fade and better brake pedal feel. Most truck and motor coach people know that brake shoes located inside brake drums fade due to excessive heat and brake dust buildup within brake drums. With hydraulic calipers and rotors, the brake lining heat is dissipated through cooling fins that are exposed to the outside air temperature, the heat is not held in by the brake drum! Please consult your dealer or WRV for performance comparisons. PERFORMANCE: When you marry the highest quality components with an excellent road handling chassis and couple it with the industries best performing powertrain package available, you have a vehicle that will flatten the toughest of mountain grades and keep you out of trouble. Period! CLOSING STATEMENT: At Peak Chassis, as with the rest of the family of recreational vehicles produced by Western RV, we can honestly say we are passionate about what we do. We want to make owning a recreational vehicle built by our family your best experience ever for your family.
