Growing Trend in VR Commercial Solutions Peter Yu, Founder & CEO, JetOne Motion The proliferation of VR technology has enabled corporate companies to implement ground-breaking applications that were previously not possible in the past. Some of the industries that have already taken the advantage of VR included entertainment, medical, auto, utilities, real estates, luxury brand, and education just to name a few. The commercial solutions come in all forms and shapes such as scenario-based training, 360 video, virtual tour, corporate presentation, short films, art, and design. The list is growing rapidly and we expect to see even more creative solutions in coming years if not months. There has been a survey stating that consumers feel a stronger emotional connection towards a brand if it sponsors VR. Closer to home in Hong Kong, we already see a strong demand in commercial sector that wants to use VR not just a one-off event but an application for long-term use internally. Even more interesting though, the decision for implementing VR is coming all the way from the top and that means VR is here to stay and will be deployed in a big way. The talk will surround the topics about the VR market size, industry survey, the technology and tools, what applications have been implemented in the commercial sectors, examples and showcases, the future of VR, and what JetOne Motion is doing so far in the commercial sectors. 

Leading in the Digital Era Joe Chu, General Manager – Hong Kong & South China, DDI It is no secret that the rapid onset of the digital era has significant implications for all facets of the business landscape. Digitization permeates customer buying behavior and preferences, marketing, and product and service design, not to mention myriad internal systems. What is clear is that this trend will not reverse; in fact, it will only accelerate. Organizations that will succeed in this new era of digitization must demonstrate agility in adjusting their strategies accordingly. For organizations to survive and prosper, the question that must be answered is: Do we have leaders who are better suited to yesterday’s realities or tomorrow’s opportunities? In this session, the speaker will provide insight into the “success profile” of the digital leader and what role talent professionals must play in ensuring their organizations are building a pipeline of “digital-ready” leaders. The major key takeaways for this speech would be: 

Create a pragmatic and compelling PoV and business case for companies developing digital-ready leaders and a digital transformation strategy

Gain a broader understanding of the mindset and skill set needed for leaders in the digital era

Develop a roadmap for HR and line executives in organizations preparing leaders for a digital transformation
