The goal of the camp is to stimulate a love for the game by immersing you in the sport and giving you the kind of focused, intensive training that will enhance your skill set for the future. The camp is designed to teach and strengthen fundamental skills that are vital to the growth and improvement in the game today. – AGES 8 – 12 The Murray State Softball Prospect Camp will provide an opportunity for softball athletes to demonstrate their playing abilities in front of college coaches. Furthermore, insight from former and current collegiate softball athletes will be made available. Agenda for the Prospect Camp: 12:30 – 1:00 – warm – up 1:00 – 3:00 – Metrics: home to first, home to home, arm velocity, defensive footwork, bat speed, hand speed, and ball exit speed 3:00 – 5:00 – Scrimmage Skills Camp & Prospect Camp - What to bring? cleats, tennis shoes, glove, bat, helmet, and water bottle. Coaches: *Aaron Mullens – Head Coach at Murray State College in Tishomingo, OK *Mike Deese – Head Coach at Connors State College in Warner, OK *Courtney Rogers – Assistant Coach at Southeastern Oklahoma State University in Durant, OK *Jessica Simmons – 2 Time All-American at Southeastern Oklahoma State University *Casady Webb – Former player at North Texas University, Seminole State College, and currently plays for the University of Central Oklahoma. *More college coaches will be added.
