With its convenient connections to regional public transit systems, AirTrain Newark is the easy, eco-friendly way to travel to or from Newark Liberty International Airport. Whether you’re traveling to Manhattan, destinations in New Jersey, Boston, MA, or Washington DC, AirTrain can connect you to NJ TRANSIT’s Northeast Corridor and North Jersey Coast Line services, and to Amtrak. AirTrain Newark costs just $5.50 as you enter or exit the system at the Airport (Rail Link) Station. The fee is included when you purchase a ticket from NJ TRANSIT or Amtrak at their train stations, ticket offices or ticketing machines. One ticket does it all. AirTrain will also take you anywhere at Newark Liberty – terminals, parking lots, hotel shuttles, rental car facilities – free. Travel from the airline terminals to Airport Station takes about 10 minutes.

NJ TRANSIT trains that stop at the airport are designated by "EWR" on departure boards. Show the ticket to the conductor on the train, and use it to pass through the fare gate at Airport Station. Be sure to check the NJ TRANSIT train schedule, especially first and last train times.

Weekdays, between 6 a.m. and 9 p.m., six NJ TRANSIT trains arrive every hour at the airport station. Between 9 p.m. and 12 a.m., four trains arrive every hour. All AirTrain stations, including Airport Station, have elevators, and there are two wheelchair locations on each vehicle. Service animals are welcome and destination announcements are made on board the trains. All information subject to change. Between midnight and 5 a.m., passengers are required to transfer trains.
