The content can be adjusted during the session to accommodate the needs of the participants. It will include some time to address any specific difficulties they are experiencing in using usi any aspect of the software. Introduction to MS Office – Word and Excel This programme is aimed at new users of PCs who have limited time to devote to gaining new skills but who want a clearer understanding of working with computers. The presenter will give clear, focused instructions on how to make effective use of a PC with just basic knowledge. It will be borne in mind that participants may not be making daily use of computers. Working with MS Windows – what all the buttons are for Desktop Taskbar Toolbars Moving & resizing windows Working in multiple windows Using applications – spreadsheets, word processing etc. Launching Applications e.g. Word, Excel Creating a document Saving a document Saving changes to a document Good saving practice Selecting text Cut, copy and paste Basic formatting My Computer- managing files f Creating and naming folders for easy use Moving and copying files between folders Good directory structure practice
