Prepare Students for Success Students receive more than just job training for careers at DPS Career and Technical Centers. We train, assess and provide supportive services that enhance our students academic abilities and technical skills so that they will succeed in a competitive job market. Students are taught employability skills and technical training based on industry standards. We teach our students work ethics, safe work practices, job responsibilities and job retention skills. Our students are job-ready when they graduate from a DPS Career and Technical Center.
OUTSTANDING GRADUATES Zolton Campbell The Crockett CTC and Kettering High School graduate is a dentist with a thriving dental practice in Detroit. Campbell got his start in dentistry in Crockett’s dental assisting program. Students in this program have interned in his clinic.
Marisol Valerio A graduate of Breithaupt CTC and Chadsey High School, Marisol is a DTE technician and credits Breithaupt’s electronics program and school-to-work program with helping her to get a head start in her career.

Faisal Ghaleb The Breithaupt CTC and Cass Technical High School graduate is an automotive mechanic at a Daimler Chrysler dealership. Ghaleb said, “The staff really cares about you and monitors your career growth after graduation.” Faisal is in college majoring in automotive engineering.
Shawndise Beachem The Detroit Manufacturing Partnership and Martin Luther King High School graduate received a $25,000 scholarship award from NABAS. Shawndise attends Prairie View University and is a GM intern at the Warren Tech Center.
