Computer guidelines for NobelClinician® Software

version 3.1

Mac OS X® operating system (Yosemite, El Capitan, Sierra) NobelClinician® has dependencies on the operating system it is used with. Please therefore make sure you only use NobelClinician® with approved operating systems.

Recommended requirements CPU

A CPU with at least two cores and a high clock rate (3 GHz) is recommended.

RAM

NobelClinician® Software consumes a considerable amount of memory due to the large datasets. A RAM memory of 8 GB is therefore recommended.

Graphics card

A graphics card with optimal 3D support (OpenGL®) is required, as NobelClinician® Software renders large amounts of 2D and 3D data. It is recommended that the graphics card has its own onboard memory (1 GB or more). 2 GB or more is recommended for 4K / Retina displays.

Monitor

For NobelClinician® Software, the screen resolution is very important, more important than the physical dimensions of the screen itself. A resolution of at least 1440x900 is required. Full HD (1920×1080) or higher, such as 1920×1200, is recommended.

Internet

A broadband internet connection is required. Keep in mind that the upload and download speeds can differ significantly. A slow upload speed can reduce the performance of NobelConnect. An upload speed of 3 Mbps and a download speed of 30 Mbps or more are recommended.

Disk space

GB of free disc space is required for a standard installation. More disc space is used based on the 5 number of patient files. A typical patient file in NobelClinician® is about 250 MB.

Devices

iMac®, Mac® Mini (*), Mac Pro®, MacBook Pro®, MacBook Air® (*). All models since 2011 are supported. (*) The graphics card of some MacBook Air® and Mac® Mini configurations has restrictions with regard to volume rendering. Consider selecting low resolution volume rendering.
