GMEE OVERVIEW GMEE - Global Motor Energy Efficiency (CB Scheme Equivalent)
“Motor Test Results Passport = One test report accepted around the globe”
- Follows successful CB Scheme - “Direct to Market” Certificate approach - Global Test Standards (IEC 60034-1, -2-1, -30) - ISO Test Laboratory Quality Requirements (ISO 17025) - Defined Certification Requirements (model selection/number of models/number of tests, AEDM, etc.)
- No Labelling Requirements (CB Test Certificate Number) - No Verification Program (No Plant Inspections/Follow Up Services/Factory Surveillance) - Each motor manufacturer determines appropriate IE level for country / region / regulation / customer / etc.

IECEE TERMS
IECEE - IEC System of Conformity Assessment Schemes for Electrotechnical Equipment and Components OD – Operational Document NCB - National Certification Body (Examples: UL, CSA, TUV, Intertek, etc.) CBTL - Certification Body Test Laboratory CBTC - Certification Body Test Certificate CB Scheme - "Certification Body" Scheme is a globally recognized conformity assessment procedure Conformity Assessment is the process by which the NCB determines whether a product adheres to specified requirements, such as in the IEC International Standards. There are three types of conformity assessment: 2015-09-16

CLOSING THOUGHTS… MEPS
- CCE (Certification, Compliance and Enforcement) rules vary among the dozens of global motor efficiency regulatory programs
-Global motor efficiency regulation programs are expanding rapidly both geographically and in levels of efficiency
- System Energy Efficiency Regulations (Pump, Fan and Compressor) growing the demand for higher motor efficiency applications
- NEMA working to expand US Motor regulations to accept GMEE as alternative program
What we need from you!
- Feedback on GMEE, Will this benefit you? (Manufacturer, Policymaker, User) - Do you know or are you a National Regulatory contact that needs more information? With your help and participation the GMEE program could eliminate trade barriers, improve CCE and expand growth of energy efficient motors in the global marketplace! 2015-09-16
