GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS ASSOCIATE OF ARTS CANDIDATES FOR THE A.A. DEGREE MUST COMPLETE A MINIMUM OF 60 SEMESTER CREDIT HOURS WITH A GPA OF 2.0 ON THOSE HOURS APPLIED TOWARD GRADUATION.
I. GENERAL EDUCATION CORE

Completion of the basic core of General Education as outlined below is a requirement of the Associate of Arts degree. Developmental credit may not be counted toward the requirements for graduation.

Natural Science with Lab Anatomy & Physiology, Astronomy, Biology, Botany, Chemistry, Microbiology, Physical Science, Physics, Zoology Public Speaking Social or Behavioral Science Economics, Geography, *History, PHI2113, PHI2143, PHI2613, PHI2623, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology College Life Beginning with Fall 2012graduates, this course is required for graduation and must be taken within the first twelve hours of enrollment. TOTAL *Note: A maximum of six hours of history may be used in the categories of Humanities and Social or Behavioral Science to meet general education requirements.

In addition to those courses listed above, students should complete the remaining degree requirement hours as prescribed by the curriculum outlined in the catalog of the university to which the student intends to transfer. Computer Competency Requirement Candidates for the A.A. degree must demonstrate basic computer competency prior to graduation. This requirement may be satisfied in one of three ways: 1. Complete and pass (grade of D or higher) an approved computer competency credit course: (ART1513, CSC1113, CSC1123, CSC1213, CSC1223, CSC2133, CSC2134, CSC2143, CSC2413, CSC2833, CSC2844, MUS2224, BOT1133, BOT2143, CPT1113, CPT1323, CPT1333, DDT1313, EET1613, NUR1119) 2. Demonstrate existing computer competency through a skills demonstration procedure endorsed by the College. 3. Complete any online course with a grade of C or higher. Technical courses may not be applied toward an A.A. degree but may satisfy computer competency requirement.
NOTE: Only three non-academic (activity) hours may be applied toward meeting graduation requirements. (Non-academic hours include one-hour physical education, band, choir, drama production and publications.)
