The B.Ed. Programme offered by IGNOU is an innovative programme utilizing self instructional materials and information technology along with interactive personal contact programmes. The programme is essentially a judicious mix of theoretical and practical courses to develop in a practicing teacher appropriate knowledge, skills, understanding and attitudes. The B.Ed. Programme of IGNOU is recognized by the NCTE vide their Letters No. F3/DL-83/99/7807-7812 dated 31.05.1999 and NRC/NCTE/OL-83/dated 23/10/2015 is offered in NCTE approved B.Ed Training Colleges of Education in the country.
All the above programmes have multi-media design, and technology aided delivery systems. These are offered through countrywide network of study centres. The University will be admitting students for the above Degree/Diplomas in Management starting from January, 2018 through an Entrance Test ‘OPENMAT-XLII’ to be held on Sunday, the 24th September, 2017 for MBA & PG Specialisation Diplomas.

Eligibility for Admission: 1. Any Graduate (including Chartered Accountancy/Cost Accountancy/Company Secretaryship) with 50% marks for General Category/45% for reserved category as per Government of India rules. 2. Clearance of OPENMAT conducted by IGNOU. 3. No age bar Last Date: Filled in form for Entrance Test ‘OPENMAT-XLII’ must reach, the Registrar (SED), IGNOU, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi - 110068, by Registered Post/Speed Post on or before 11th August, 2017. Walk in Admission : Candidates who qualify Entrance Test can submit the registration form (Form2), available in the ‘Student Handbook & Prospectus’ along with the hall ticket of the Entrance Test, to the respective Regional Centres along with the required fee on any day after the receipt of result card, but not later then 30 th November, 2017 for admission cycle starting from January, 2018.
The admission to this programme is on the basis of an Entrance Test to be conducted on Sunday, the 24th September, 2017 2 years English & Hindi
Eligibility for Admission: Candidates with : (a) At least 50% marks either in the Bachelor’s Degree and /or in the Master’s Degree in Sciences/Social Sciences/Commerce/Humanity. Bachelors in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science and mathematics with 55% marks or any other qualifications equivalent thereto. AND The following categories are eligible to be students of B.Ed. (ODL): (b) (i) Trained in-service teachers in elementary education (ii) Candidates who have completed a NCTE recognized teacher education programme through face-to face mode.
The reservation and relaxation of 5% marks in minimum eligibility will be provided to SC/ST/OBC (Non-creamy layer)/PWD candidates as per the rules of the Central Government. The Reservation to Kashmiri Migrants and War window candidates will be provided as per University Rules.

POST BASIC B.Sc. NURSING PROGRAMME (OPENNET-VII)
Post Basic B.Sc Nursing is a degree programme of three years, duration for in-service diploma holder Nurses. The Programme is approved by the Indian Nursing Council (INC). Admission will be done through an Entrance Examination (OPENNET-VII) to be conducted on Sunday, the 24th September, 2017. Medium of Instruction English Eligibility for Admission In-service Nurses, Registered Nurses and Registered Midwives (RNRM) having 10+2 with three years, or equivalent Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) with minimum of two years experience in the profession after (RNRM) (For male nurses who have not done midwifery in the GNM programme should have a certificate in any of the nursing courses of 6-9 months, duration prescribed by the Indian Nursing Council in lieu of midwifery). OR In-service Nurses (RNRM) having 10th class (Matriculation) or its equivalent with three year, Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) with minimum of five years experience in the profession after ((RNRM) (For male nurses who have not done midwifery in the GNM programme should have a certificate in any of the nursing courses of 6-9 month, duration prescribed by the Indian Nursing Council in lieu of midwifery). Reservation policy as per Government of India Rules Last Date: Filled in form should be submitted at the Regional Centre concerned where programme study centre for Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing Programme is located on or before 11th August, 2017 NOTE There is no age bar for admission to the above Programmes. The University reserves the right to grant/deny admission to any candidate. Provision for online registration for admission to the successful candidates for Management Programme will be made available on the university website (www.ignou.ac.in) after the declaration of the Entrance Test result. After the declaration of Entrance Test result region wise merit list will be prepared & counseling for admission will be done at Regional centre having (PSC for Post Basic B. Sc. Nursing Programme).
Availability of Student Handbook & Prospectus 'Student Handbook & Prospectus for Management Programme, and Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing Programme – 2018 can be obtained from the Director (SSC), IGNOU, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi- 110068 or from any Regional Centre of IGNOU by sending a sum of Rs. 1050/- through a Demand Draft/IPO in favour of IGNOU payable at New Delhi/city of Regional Centre concerned or by paying Rs. 1000/- in cash at the respective sales counters. Please write your name and address on the back of the DD/IPO. Last date for receipt of request for 'PROSPECTUS' by post is4th August, 2017. However, Prospectus for B.Ed. Programme is availabel at the University website only (the print form of the same is not available at any sale counter).
