RCS 2 is the latest generation Ratio Control System which establishes a new standard for precise electronically controlled gear-pump metering.
A Windows-based graphical user interface Built-in system diagnostics Intelligent time and date stamped fault messages Configurable fault conditions and tolerances 100 parameter sets per gun Comprehensive context-sensitive help screens Pot-life timer and pressure pot volume monitoring and alarming Forcible discrete and analog inputs and outputs Ethernet/IP interface capabilities Ability to update (flash) firmware on-side with a laptop Password protection of all operational parameters Data acquisition style trending screens Proportional flow rates based on number of applicators being triggered.
Fast and reliable, the RCS 2 is the ideal choice for applications where short trigger times, quick response and/or low flow are required. RCS 2 featuers magnetically coupled metering pumps that eliminate shaft seal leaks. The RCS 2 provides absolute on-ratio gear-driven mixing and metering control. The system can be used with solventborne or waterborne materials. This makes for easy integrantion into automatic or manual systems using single or multiple applicators.

Standard Systems Include:
ITW Ransburg became the inventors of on-site painting with the development of the No. 2 Process Handgun which is still the most efficient manual spray painting device available today. Coating materials are atomized without compressed air or hydraulic pressure. The No. 2 uses only the electrostatic force generated by the power supply to atomize the paint. Overspray is nonexistent.

Due to its high transfer efficiency, the No. 2 Process Handgun enables spray painting in many instances where it would be otherwise impossible: on-site refinishing of furniture and the painting of large and small products where overspray cannot be tolerated.
Specifications:
It is the only cost effective means to apply certain very expensive coatings. Rod, tubular, and wire goods may be uniformly painted from one side only. Due to its characteristic of pure electrostatic atomization, the No. 2 Handgun virtually eliminates overspray drift and waste. In fact, control of overspray is so effective, paint mileage increases dramatically. Paint transfer efficiencies in the 95% range are realistically achievable.

As pressures in the 3-5 psi (.2-.35 bar) maximum pressure pot with a gauge of 15-30 psi (1.0-2.0) bar maximum scale is recommended. A large extra sensitive diaphragm regulator should be used.
Safety The No. 2 Process unit was designed with safety in mind. The high voltage is supplied at low amperage. Resistive electrical circuitry results in zero voltage at the bell atomizer if any grounded article touches the bell. Voltage is automatically reinstated as the gun is moved away from the grounded article.
