Journal Communications, Inc. Editorial Intern Job Description Journal Communications is an integrated media company that creates content experiences for audiences in the community, economic development, travel and agriculture sectors. We have a small travel division that produces visitor guides for area Convention & Visitor Bureaus, including the Nashville Visitors Guide and Nashville Meeting Planning Guide. The intern will be involved in various aspects of publishing, primarily in our Travel and Livability divisions.

Responsibilities  Repurpose content for our national quality of life site, Livability.com  Help in ad production  Add metadata to our photographic data asset management system  Research  Assist with other tasks that involve content, both in print and online.

Skills and Specifications  Writing experience preferred  Digital and social media knowledge  Self-starter  Eager to learn about an integrated media company and publishing

Reports to: Susan Chappell, VP Travel Publishing

Position Status: Paid, June-July, variable hours
