It is not recommended for beginners, the topics work progressively from a fairly basic level, through to more difficult features. Delegates will need to ensure that their existing product knowledge is suitable for the topics included in the workshop. Objectives This one-day course is designed to show how to record and edit macros. It will give an overview of how to start using Visual Basic for Applications. On conclusion delegates should be able to understand the different methods of creating modules and basic syntax statements

Recording Macros Running macros, Assigning Macros to menu, toolbar icons, "Shortcut keys" and inserting macro buttons Visual Basic concepts and background Reading Visual Basic Code - Comments, Keywords, Collections, Objects, Properties and Methods Modules and Procedures - writing your own code Creating message boxes Defining and Using Variables Input boxes to prompt for information Testing and Debugging - types of errors, using the debug tools, using Break Mode and a BreakPoint
