Dear Student INFORMATION FOR THE NOVEMBER DHET (N1 – N3 Engineering Studies) EXAM SESSION 2013

IMPORTANT INFORMATION The attached documents contain important information about the upcoming exam session, including the most important dates. Please read all accompanying documents carefully to ensure that you do not miss anything.

IMPORTANT NOTES Kindly take note of the below. 1. Email communication. We are using email as the only means of sending exam information and the DHET permits to students. Please ensure that you have a valid and active email address. All currently registered students should use their intec.me email address. Refer to your orientation guide to register your intec.me email address. 2. Payment of exam fees. The cost of exam registration is determined by the relevant Further Education and Training College. 3. Exam Centre. The College has identified a list of exam centres where you can register for your examinations. Please refer to the INTEC website, under exam information.

This examination session will commence on the 8th of November and will be completed on the 256th of November. Please read the information contained in the accompanying documents carefully to assist you in your registration process and register at the exam centre closest to you. Remember to take your exam permit with you to the exam centre for every exam sitting. Remember to register for this exam session on or before the 16th of September (internal cut-off date). Up until the assignment submission closing date we can still accept assignments/test papers for calculating the term mark needed for exam acceptance. Students should ensure that their third assignment/test paper reaches the College before the assignment submission closing date. The timetable has been issued by the Department of Higher Education and Training to the relevant FET Colleges who are authorized to manage the exams. Please note that the 2013 exam timetable dates are subject to change.

GENERAL 

The N1 – N3 Engineering Studies exams will be hosted in: April, July/ August and November.



You must be eligible to write in the exam session. In other words, you must have passed your assignments.



Please follow the easy steps on the Department of Education Exam Entry Form to register for the exams you want to write.



The Department of Education Exam Entry Form must be completed at the venue you wish to write your exams.

COMPLETING THE EXAM ENTRY FORM Example of an Examination Entry Form. This document can be obtained from the exam centre you are going to register at.

The Department of Education will not release your results unless your term mark has been submitted.
