22 nd ANNUAL STOCKING STUFFERS PROGRAM The Fargo Moorhead Builders Exchange, in cooperation with the Salvation Army, invites each and every member to be a personal “Santa” for local area children participating in our 22nd Annual “Stocking Stuffers” program. The FMBX will be hosting their program on Saturday, December 15, 2012. We will be accepting sponsorship donations through Friday, December 14, 2012. We will be offering members the opportunity to purchase Christmas Stockings for $100.00 per stocking. Each stocking purchased, will be labeled with the donating company’s name or the individual donator’s name and placed on the wall at the Exchange. The Salvation Army provides the Exchange with a list of local children’s names who could use a little financial help to buy Christmas presents. On Saturday, December 15th the children will be transported from the Cross Way Center at the Holy Cross Catholic Church to the 13th Avenue Wal-Mart. Upon arriving at the store, each child will have the opportunity to purchase anything their heart’s desire, up to $100.00. Once they have finished their shopping, the children will return to the Crossroads Center to write personalized thank you notes to the generous company or individual that has enabled them to participate in the Stocking Stuffers program. After the thank you notes have been written, the children have the opportunity to participate in a small holiday celebration, enjoying pizza, pop, candy, milk, and ice cream that local area businesses donate to this program and a visit from Santa. Over the past 21 years, this program has been an amazing success! Any and all remaining funds will be used to purchase gifts which will then be donated to the local “Angel Tree Toy Shop” and other local programs to ensure that we help as many families as possible. The Fargo Salvation Army operates the Angel Tree Toy Shop program. The Salvation Army distributes gifts to the children whose names decorate these trees. The Christmas Holiday is not very far away.
