21st Century Workshop Solutions for the Automotive Industry Traditional inspection pits are of brick or concrete construction, often with poor or inadequate lighting. Many are too deep or awkward to get in to or out of. They are also susceptible to filling up with groundwater. In addition to this ingress of water, there is also the likelihood of seepage of waste oil, lubrication, fuel and chemical products from the porous materials of the pit into the ground, which means that in addition to health and safety issues, there are also much wider environmental considerations to confront. FACT: Everquip vehicle inspection pits are precision engineered from fabricated mild steel and are fully sealed before leaving the workshop. Waste products can be pumped away using a range of available products from the sump that is integral to all our pits.

A Wealth of Standard Features to Enhance the Working Environment Standard Features All pits supplied are sold with a full set of design calculations and a full set of civil engineering drawings if to be installed by a sub-contractor. All Everquip pits are supplied with an integrated pit jack rail, giving a combined lifting capacity of 30 tonnes per axle across both rails. Fluorescent lighting is fitted as required and is compliant with HSE Zone 2. All internal wiring is contained within steel conduits.
Access steps and escape ladders are of steel construction and built in accordance with British Standards. To increase working space we have designed removable steps that simply lock into place when needed. Internal compressed air pipework is fitted as standard prior to delivery. Oil pipework can be fitted to your requirements. A sump is an integral part of the design of an Everquip inspection pit. This allows the safe removal of waste oil and spillage.
Optional Features Internal service area bays can be built to your requirements for storage or oil distribution systems. Where more than one tunnel is required, joining tunnels can be incorporated into the design. Step designs vary according to your specific requirements. Everquip can advise on the most appropriate design - including optional escape tunnels and safety rails.
