HP USB 2.0 Docking Station Connect with efficiency–wherever you work.

Connect and get to work. An efficient computing environment helps you stay productive, whether you’re working in your main office, a satellite office or a home office. That’s the idea behind the HP USB 2.0 Docking Station. Just connect your HP Business Notebook to the HP USB 2.0 Docking Station and get video, audio, network connectivity and up to four universal serial bus (USB) connected devices working at the same time. The HP USB 2.0 Docking Station features video output over USB. This means one easy connection passes all signals, including video, over one USB cable. One step and the notebook is connected to a keyboard, mouse, monitor, printer and other accessories that give you a desktop experience when you use your business notebook.

USB technology to simplify change The HP USB 2.0 Docking Station is a great accessory for HP Business Notebooks that do not support traditional docking, like the HP Compaq s-series, the HP 500 series and select models of the HP Mini 2140.1 While HP EliteBooks and HP Compaq b-series notebooks support the HP Basic and Advanced Docking Stations, you can also use the HP USB 2.0 Docking Station for a more portable solution.

What’s more, because USB is an industry-standard protocol that works on almost any computer, this docking station can be used with most notebooks computers, including third-party brands.

At the office. At home. Away from home. Setting up the docking station at home or in the office is easy—just connect the notebook to the docking station and get down to business. This capability is ideal for mobile workers, those who work remotely, or anyone who wants to connect a notebook easily to a number of devices while staying on the go. Weighing less than a pound, the docking station slips easily into your notebook carrying case, so you can take it with you as you move from place to place. In addition, the HP USB 2.0 Docking Station makes it easy to create “hot desks,” or guest desk spaces, where mobile workers have an instantly productive work environment—wherever they are. The docking station has Flash memory with installation-ready software drivers that detect if a new system is connected and then prompt the end user to load the software. There’s no need to install software from a CD—a requirement with many docks. Simply plug a compatible notebook into the docking station and you will be prompted to launch the installation wizard to begin the loading process. This feature is especially ideal for notebooks that do not have an optical drive.

Balance of features and value The HP USB 2.0 Docking Station offers the right combination of the most desired features for mobile users without building in costly features that aren’t needed. With four USB ports, a local area network (LAN) port, headphone and microphone ports, VGA/DVI ports and a security lock slot it creates a desktop-like experience with the right combination of function and affordability.

Leverage the power of HP Professional Innovations. The HP USB 2.0 Docking Station is part of the family of innovative HP Docking solutions that allow HP Business Notebooks to deliver an enhanced mobile desktop experience. Combined with our broad line of accessories, these solutions help increase the security, reliability and ease of use of your HP Business Notebook—so you can stay productive when you’re on the go.
