INTERCESSORY PRAYERS OF THE FAITHFUL Let us offer our prayers through Christ for the needs of the church and the world. For the church throughout the world and for the ecclesial communities, that God will open our hearts to the word of Christ, we pray to the LordFor the gift of creation that declares God’s glory, that through our care of the earth, generations yet to come may know God’s bounty, we pray to the LordFor peace in the world, that a spirit of forbearance and respect may grow among nations and people, we pray to the LordFor candidates and all people in positions of public trust, that a new season of service may secure justice and promote the dignity of every person, we pray to the LordFor people who are poor, hungry, homeless, and for all people in need that God will raise up advocates and caregivers to people easily overlooked, we pray to the LordIn thanksgiving for the lives of our departed alumnae* and Ursuline sisters, that their lives may encourage our faithfulness until the day when we are raised up to the fullness of eternal life, we pray to the LordGracious God, tune the words of our mouth and the prayers of our heart to sing in harmony with your desires so that in all we do we might bring good news to the poor and release to the captives through Jesus Christ our Lord.
