The NetVanta 1335 Multiservice Access Router takes the integrated, all-in-one concept a step further by adding Wi-Fi capabilities. The NetVanta 1335 is an industry-unique platform that integrates a modular IP access router, 802.11a/b/g WAP, 24-port Layer 2/3 Power over Ethernet (PoE) switch, firewall, VPN appliance, and DSU/CSU, all in a single, compact chassis. This easy-to-manage, single-box solution significantly reduces equipment costs and trouble-shooting expenses, resulting in a lowered Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and a faster Return on Investment (ROI).

The NetVanta 150 is a lightweight Wireless Access Point (WAP) designed to extend the wireless reach of a NetVanta-based network. The wireless solution offers a wide range of entry-level price points, multiple connectivity options, and the ability to be centrally managed.
Wi-Fi Access Controllers for Centralized Management The NetVanta 150 is hosted through a variety of NetVanta Wi-Fi Access Controllers. Compatible Wi-Fi controllers include the award-winning NetVanta Multiservice Access Routers: NetVanta 3448 and 1335; NetVanta Modular Routers: NetVanta 3430, 4305, 4430 and 5305; and NetVanta Ethernet Switches: NetVanta 1234, 1238, 1534, and 1544. Each of these Wi-Fi controllers is capable of managing up to 24 NetVanta Wi-Fi products. Other compatible Wi-Fi Access Controllers include the fixed-port NetVanta 3120 and 3130; the modular NetVanta 3200 and 3205; NetVanta 6355 and Total Access 900/900e IP business gateways; and NetVanta 7000 Series of IP Communication
Platforms. Each of these Wi-Fi controllers is capable of managing up to eight NetVanta Wi-Fi products.
The NetVanta Command Line Interface has a familiar look and feel, eliminating retraining costs.
A NetVanta Wi-Fi Access Controller allows for centralized management and monitoring of remote NetVanta 150s.
Multiple Management Options All NetVanta products run the standard ADTRAN Operating System (AOS). The AOS offers a standard Command Line Interface (CLI) that mimics the widely adopted, industry de facto standard. The sequence of commands to configure similar devices is almost identical, virtually eliminating training costs associated with learning a new operating system.
In addition, the AOS also features an intuitive Web-based Graphical User Interface (GUI) with step-by-step configuration wizards and the ability to upload firmware updates. The GUI allows for easy configuration, provides online guidance and explanations for each setting, and can be accessed from any Web browser on the network.

With the use of the NetVanta 3G NIM, NetVanta routers can use 3G CDMA cellular service as a primary WAN connection, or as a backup/disaster recovery link. As a primary WAN connection, 3G is perfect for mobile or temporary sites needing connectivity or for locations where wired service is unavailable.

Virtual Access Points to Segment Wireless LAN The NetVanta Wi-Fi solutions employ Virtual Access Points (VAPs), the equivalent of wireless Virtual LANs (VLANs). Each wireless radio in the NetVanta Series supports up to eight unique VAPs, enabling enterprise customers to securely segment their wireless network traffic, like that of their wired network. In addition, a single VAP can be supported across multiple NetVanta Wi-Fi solutions which makes it perfect for larger coverage areas and roaming scenarios. The NetVanta 3448 with PoE powers each 802.3af compliant NetVanta 150 and acts as the wireless access controller to centrally manage each NetVanta 150 throughout the network.

Secure Wireless Networking The NetVanta Wi-Fi solutions offer business-class security features like shared key authentication, MAC authentication, as well as Wired Equivalent Privacy (WEP), Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA), and WPA2 support. In this case, the NetVanta 150 is using 802.1x user authentication with a Radius Server to authenticate valid users accessing the corporate wireless network and provides central password/user management. Together these security standards ensure a highly protected business-class wireless network infrastructure.
