KEY BENEFITS Driver’s Ed teaches teens the basics of driving, but teenSMART takes driver training to the next level. It’s designed to provide critical driving skills for teens who already have their license to help reduce crashes and save lives. According to the National Safety Council (Injury Facts, 2001) and ADEPT Research: • More than two out of five 16- to 19-year-old drivers (over 40%) are involved in car accidents each year. • Teens are nearly three-times more likely to die behind the wheel than all other drivers. • teenSMART beta test graduates had 71% fewer police reported accidents than the national average and 30% fewer police reported accidents than a highly trained control group with similar demographics. Upon successful completion of the course, the teen will receive a 25% or 30% SMART Driver Discount on select coverages. As long as the teen remains violation and accident free the discount remains until the renewal that follows th their 19 birthday. The insurance savings can be significant and come with ADEPT Driver’s money-back guarantee: teenSMART will pay for itself through insurance savings, as long as the teen continues to qualify .
