Job Description and Responsibilities Senior Event Manager Worldview Events, a business unit branch of Worldview Travel, Inc. (“WVT”), is seeking a qualified and experienced Senior Event Manager to support the growth of the MICE department in North America and especially in Toronto. This position will work as a part of the overall North American team and will reports to the Worldview Events Director. The senior event manager is in charge of overseeing corporate client program success for global programs to ensure satisfaction, smooth event execution, and communication among WVT departments as the event’s primary project manager and the client’s primary point of contact. This position will require management of the event from concept to completion, team members of varying levels of experience and skill, vendor partnerships, client budgets, and timelines. The senior event manager will need to support sales and business development efforts in assessing the client need and in building strong client relationships. He or she will support program proposals, assembling project status reports, and will need to occasionally present our services to clients as a consultative face of the organization. Some team member management and training of both volunteers, internal and external resources will be required. The senior event manager will be expected to consult with and partner with clients and internal team members to conceptualize, develop and market events, taking into consideration goals, themes, audiences, and client culture. Responsibilities Include:
Project Management and Coordination o Program planning, execution, task management, vendor relations, administrative, upkeep and event updates, communications liaison and scheduling o Budget management – plan to the budget / notify director of status o Coordinate function orders and logistics Developing client program proposals and program design Developing and managing program budgets (zero-based and historical), reconciliation, and event income and expenses Ascertaining client needs and services required Setting and developing timelines, project management task lists, and divisions of duties Managing logistics, operations, schedules, and production coordination Manage site selection, RFP creation and management, site inspections, and analytical recaps Oversee overall project execution, performance, and profitability

Project management, timelines, and task management Registration and communications best practices (experience with event registration platforms, including Cvent) Facilities management, audio-visual, room layouts and design Production, staging, and on site execution Menu planning and design Vendor sourcing and management Contracting, negotiations, and compliance Risk assessment and management (emergency planning) Event budgeting and financials Evaluations, reporting and analysis Leadership and strong interpersonal skills Outstanding written and oral communications skills Working knowledge of Excel, Power Point, Word and cloud-sharing programs Understanding of social media in event settings
Time Commitment: full time; travel will be included; long days and some weekends are expected Memberships in and attendance at key industry events annually are expected and are covered by the department. Example organizations include MPI, SITE, PCMA Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years professional event management experience Strong background in program management and execution Bachelor’s Degree
