Stevenson High School Choral Guild
Summer 2013
A note from our Director…
A note from our Presidents…
Brace yourselves everyone – the start of school will be here before you know it! My hope is you are taking this time to relax and enjoy the break from school. I am excited to begin the new school year and be a part of some wonderful activities ahead!
Can you believe how the summer has been flying by? With the first day of school just around the corner, we wanted to take this time to welcome both new and returning choir students and their families to Stevenson’s Choir program. There are several fun ways to get involved, earn volunteer hours, meet other new choir students and see your friends before school even starts! But first, a few words about Choral Guild, our choir department’s parent support organization, offering parents a variety of ways to become involved in choral department activities with varying time commitment choices such as:
I hope that all our choir families will attend the Choir Kick-off Dinner on Wednesday, August 21st at 6:30pm in Room 2104. This dinner provides an opportunity for everyone to get excited about the coming school year. New students will have a chance to meet with returning members, make new friendships and learn more about what our program has to offer. Parents will hear from our Choral Guild Executive Board and have a chance to meet the directors. Please contact me if I can be of further help or answer any questions. Thank you for being a part of choir at Stevenson High School, and I look forward to seeing everyone in August. Sincerely,
Alice Nuteson, Choral Director

* Become a member of our organization for only $15.00 per family to support your choir student. Your name will be listed in the concert programs as a sponsoring Choral Guild member! * Volunteer for one or more choir activities and events, including musicals, concerts and more. * Participate in our annual fundraisers, through which your student may raise funds for his/her personal choral purchases and choir trips. We also invite you to attend our Choral Guild General Meetings find out the inside scoop on choral activities (such as 2014 Florida trip). It’s a terrific way to meet and work with other active choir parents and our choir directors. We’d love to have your assistance and support with our first fundraiser of the year: August Roasted Corn Sale at Sunset Foods in Long Grove. It is a great way to get volunteer hours, have fun with friends and raise money for Choral Guild at the same time! Again, welcome to the Stevenson Choral program! If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us. In the meantime, enjoy the rest of the summer and we hope to see you at the Corn Roast at Sunset Foods on August 11th and then again on August 21st for the Kick-off Dinner!
