FRONT END DEVELOPER (REACT/REDUX) LONDON

Homelyfe are looking for an experienced front-end developer, to help us design and deliver the next generation of mobile consumer insurance apps. We’re a funded early stage start-up, with an experienced team, in a beautiful office near Clerkenwell. Buying insurance is time consuming, confusing, and complex. We’re going to fix that, and we want your help. We are looking for a front-end developer who is motivated to combine the art of design and simplicity with the art of programming. We’re looking to build an internal application to complement our consumer-facing product. Responsibilities will include setting-up and developing this back-office application based on our current architecture, and using our product’s tech stack; React and Redux. The internal application will serve as a portal for management and reporting products useful to the business. You will work with the UI/UX designer and product manager to bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation, taking an active role on both sides and defining how the application looks as well as how it works. We’re heavily investing in new front-end technologies, with a great combination of React, Node, ES6, and Redux. While our front-end architecture combines both mobile and web together, this application will only be developed for web. However, there will be a lot of collaboration between internal and product teams and this role offers the opportunity to learn React Native. Ideally the successful developer will have experience in developing large-scale singlepage web applications in a framework such as React, Angular or similar.

YOU WILL:

● Develop gorgeous and functional UI in React, and Redux for web, often taking UI / design decisions when necessary ● Building reusable code and libraries for future use ● Working with the product team to best leverage our current stack and technologies ● Optimize application for maximum speed, scalability and reliability

YOUR EXPERIENCE ● Experience developing a web app of decent size using a framework (Angular, React, Backbone etc) ● Unit & integration tests, in any framework / runner ● ES6 and familiar with the coming ECMAScript versions ● Comfortable with node and npm ● Git ● Familiarity with continuous integration ● Webpack and Babel ● Modern build systems (grunt, gulp, etc) YOUR SKILLS ● ● ● ●

Experience using Redux (or similar libraries like Flux, Vuex etc) Any charting libraries (D3.js, Highcharts etc) Experience or knowledge in functional programming (any language) Developing npm packages
