SKANDIA INTERNATIONAL TO BECOME OLD MUTUAL INTERNATIONAL
1. WHAT IS HAPPENING? Skandia International will change its name to Old Mutual International on Monday 22 December 2014. The companies that are part of Skandia International will also change name (see question 3). Skandia International has been an integral part of the Old Mutual Group since 2006 so this change is a logical move to align ourselves more with our parent company. Becoming Old Mutual International will combine the expertise of Skandia International with the strength of Old Mutual under a single brand name. Our new name will be applied across everything that is currently branded with the Skandia International name including our logo, stationery, websites, and certain product and fund names. THERE WILL BE NO CHANGE TO: • the way your policy works (your terms and conditions will not be affected and the administration of your policy will continue to be dealt with in the same way) • the features of the product in which you are invested • your relationship with your financial adviser nor the relationship your adviser has with us • our phone numbers • the support you receive from our Isle of Man based administration centre and international regional offices (please refer to the letter accompanying this leaflet for relevant contact details).
2. WHO IS OLD MUTUAL? Old Mutual is an international, FTSE®100 company providing long-term savings products, protection and investments. Based in London, it was established in 1845, employs over 55,000 people and oversees £300.5 billion in customer investments for 16 million customers worldwide (as at 30 June 2014).
3. WILL ANYTHING CHANGE? Anything currently using the Skandia International name will change from 22 December 2014 – examples of the key changes you should know about are listed below: •o ur company stationery and literature – for example, our letterheads and product brochures will adopt a new look and will show our new company logo. • our website addresses – www.skandiainternational.com will change to www.oldmutualinternational.com and www.skandiainternational.com/hk will change to www.oldmutualinternational.com/hk (Hong Kong investors only) • our email addresses – until 22 December, you can continue to email us at our usual addresses. • c ertain fund names – a number of funds we provide will change name. For example the ‘RS GBP Deposit’ fund will become known as the ‘OMI IM GBP Deposit’ fund and the ‘SK IRL GBP Deposit’ will become known as the ‘OMI IE GBP Deposit’. • bank account details – the names of our bank accounts will change (but our bank account sort codes and account numbers remain the same). If you make payments to us via cheque or electronically, for example by Standing Order you will need to use our new name from 22 December. If you are a Skandia Ireland customer making payments via International Direct Debit, you do not need to take any action. If you receive regular income withdrawals, you may notice our new name on your bank statement.
