Daniel was first introduced to computers at age 8, when neither he nor computers were cool. Naturally, he disassembled that first machine (not his own), examined the component parts, and later, under threat of immediate bodily harm, put it back together. From that time onward, computers and programming dominated his life. While still in high school, his misguided youth lead him to a minor misunderstanding with GTE (something about illegally accessing their national system) that brought Daniel into close contact with the FBI, and also convinced him at an early age that the most interesting challenges lay in the fields of telecommunications and digital security. He immediately began “white hat” coding for up-and-coming anti-virus software firms.
