If your card has been cancelled it cannot be utilized for any of its intended functions — i.e. the cancellation has an impact on all functions. If you find your card after having cancelled it the card can only be reactivated by personally visiting the JU Card Office or via Self Service.

When obtaining a new card (after you have lost your card) you will be charged a fee of SEK 100 (students). The fee is paid at the University Library and you will be given your new card when presenting your receipt. What logotypes are printed on your JU Card?
Outside the regular study hours the revolving doors by the main entrances, all main exits and all doors in the stairwells will be locked. You will need an access card (the JU Card) to enter and exit buildings during these hours.
The JU Card is your Jönköping Student Union membership card. When you have paid your membership fee, and updated your card, you can enjoy all the benefits you get as a member.
To have updated information on your JU Card each semester you must visit a photo booth or a card printer. These are located next to the JU Card Office (building A) and in Books & Coffee (Student House).
STUDENT INFLUENCE The purpose of the Student Union is to guarantee that all students at Jönköping University receive a high quality education and opportunity to a good life and study situation. The Student Union strives to ensure strong student influence and to make sure that a student perspective is not missing when important decisions are made.
The update requires that you have paid your membership fee to the Student Union for the current semester.
INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO USE THE JU CARD AT THE FOLLOWING READERS: 1. Hold the card in front of the reader. A sound from card reader indicates that the card has been read. 2. A green solid light indicates that access has been granted. 3. If there is a flashing red and green light, please enter your PIN. 4. Continuous red light indicates that access is denied. INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO USE THE JU CARD AT THE FOLLOWING READERS: 1. Hold the card in front of the reader. A sound from card reader indicates that the card has been read. 2. A rapidly flashing green light indicates that access has been granted. 3. If there is a less intense flashing green light, please enter your PIN. 4. Continuous red light indicates that access is denied.

EDUCATIONAL QUALITY If you feel wrongly treated by a teacher, or if you are unsatisfied with your education, you can turn to your Student Association. The Student Union is responsible for the overall control of the education quality. LIFE AND STUDY SITUATION This regards to social welfare quality and includes everything in your student life that is not directly linked to your education. Within this field, the Student Union works for better and more affordable student housing, beneficial student discounts and more. STUDENT VOLUNTEER WORK The Student Union is run by students that work on a voluntary basis. Each year project groups are formed to make sure that the organization is working under the best conditions. These groups include everything from the election committee to party committees.
