Dear Members, The advent of April will give lot of relief and cheer to members and children alike, since the Board exams and school exams would have got over and they can look forward to spending more time at the club. For the benefit of members, dependents and guests, our club is organizing summer coaching camps for Swimming Tennis and Badminton (look for details inside) and request all of you to make use of this opportunity. The entertainment committee is planning in a big way for the grand musical evening of popular play back singer Mr. Srinivas and troupe on 18th April. The screening of “Slumdog Millionaire” will be on April 11th and “Gajini” on April 25th. The “Holi Celebrations” at the club on 14th March was a huge success with good music, dance and excellent food.

Raghavram, MIC - Entertainment Holi, the festival of colours was celebrated with great pomp and hue. A riot of colours spewed out from the stage and the lawns, but with a difference. Instead of throwing colour powders, each one drenched the other with a spray of colourful flowers. There was colour all around and the fragrance of the flowers filled the air and made the evening, a delightful one.

THE PRESIDENCY CLUB NEWS The joyous festival of Holi is never complete without Dance and music. The musical entertainment was provided by Shafi and Anuradha. Both of them put their heart and soul into their singing and made the audience rejoice. The dance performance by the Raack Academy of Dance was of top quality and there was a good blend of music and dance and a variety of food to make the evening memorable.

Presidency club entered the Khumbat -Yonex Inter Club Badminton Tournament held at Madras Cricket Club. Presidency Club was represented by Jaishree, Amit Kinger. Balachander, Bharat, Chirag Batavia, Sanjeev Nichani, Shiv Bathra, Tarun Agarwal, Naresh Nichani Ganeshan and Tarun Bagga. Presidency Club met MCCD in the first round and won the first round (won 3 out of 5 games played). A special word of praise goes out to Naresh Nichani and Jaishree in the mixed doubles match as that match went down to the wire. Presidency went up to the second round where in we met a team from Perambur called sky bolt. They were a very good team and we had some very close matches but they had the upper hand. Well it was a whole lot of fun and fellowship.
