Angelo Di Pippo Voted best accordionist in the prestigious Keyboard Magazine. We are proud to have from Garden City, NY, the legendary Angelo Di Pippo! He has played accordion since the age of eight and is a graduate of Holy Cross College with a Masters degree from C.W. Post College and an honorary Doctorate from Five Towns College. He has played in thousands of recording sessions. Over the years Angelo has recorded and concertized with scores of famous recording artists. Angelo has also appeared on: The Tonight Show, The Today Show, The Regis Philbin Show, and many more too numerous to mention. We are honored to have with us this distinguished musician and legendary accordionist performing with the amazing Accordion Kings! Angelo will be teaching as well as accepting the 2011 Honorary Director’s Award.

Alex Sevastian Star of Quartetto Gelato & four time world champion. Alex was our guest performer last year for one evening – and what a memorable evening that was! It is a great pleasure to have joining us for 2011, as both an artist and a clinician, Alex Sevastian four time world champion. This talented musician comes to us from Toronto, Canada – but his roots began in Russia. Alex is actively involved in the music world, performing with several musical organizations, most notably the internationally recognized Quartetto Gelato. He has been touring Canada and the USA extensively with Quartetto Gelato. Alex performs on a type of concert accordion known as a Bayan, which is a chromatic accordion with free bass. Hearing Alexander perform is an astounding experience. He is truly one of the great musicians of the world who just happens to play the accordion.

Mary grew up in Connecticut and in her youth earned over 185 trophies and awards, including U.S. and International Championship Titles. Mary started teaching at an early age and went on to study Early Childhood Education through Kindermusik International at Princeton University and Boston University at Lowell. She is currently a music teacher in the North Haven Department of Education Early Childhood Development Program and has

developed a successful Kindermusik program at Tokarski Music Center.

As a soloist, guest artist to numerous symphony orchestras, and a member of the K-Trio (together with her sister Julie and brother Walter), Mary has performed throughout the USA and internationally. We are honored to have this veteran educator and performer with us again this year. We know you will enjoy her wonderful style and educational offerings. Make sure you check out Mary’s workshops and Master Classes as she is an amazing instructor – and her performances are always a joy to hear!

Peter & Mady Soave Reading Peter & Mady’s bio is a reflection of their artistic prowess in not just the accordion world, but in the music world. We are fortunate to have both Peter and Mady with us this year. We have included a few excerpts from their official bios.

Professor Sommers, our very own Maestro Extraordinaire, is now preparing the 2011 program – so if you want to be a part of this exciting orchestra, NOW is the time to let us know as the cutoff is approaching! The Orchestra’s past performances have been very exciting. Anyone who heard this magnificent orchestra under Maestro Sommers’ baton would have to say the sound was nothing less than glorious!
