1) Brief Course Description: This course covers and concentrates on the theory, design, performance, and principles of the Kinematics and Kinetics which deal with motion; position; velocity and acceleration (Dynamics of machines)

2) Course Objectives: At the end of this course the students should be able to: 1. Understand the basic concepts of machines and mechanisms. 2. Compute the velocity and acceleration diagrams of all basic mechanisms. 3. Draw velocity and acceleration diagrams of basic link mechanism. 4. Understand the types of cam & follower. 5. Draw the follower displacement and came profile. 6. Understand the basic concepts of the rotating masses 7. Apply different formulae to compute the balancing forces 8. Understand the functions, types and characteristics of governors. 9. Apply the theory of governors to solve numerical problems.
