Goddess of Light and the wild world. At the age of three, sitting on the lap of her father Zeus, she asks him to offer her eternal virginity, a bow, and arrows similar to her brother Apollo and the world's mountains. This anonymous painting was chosen to decorate the Palm Court and represent our love for tea grown in the mountains of Diana.

Anna the 7th Duchess of Bedford is often credited with the creation of the tradition of the Afternoon Tea in the early 1840’s. Traditionally dinner was not served until 8:30 or 9 in the evening and the Duchess often became hungry, especially in the summer when dinner was served even sundown. She ordered a small treat of bread, butter and other niceties, such as cakes, tarts and biscuits, to be brought secretly to her boudoir. When she was exposed, she was not ridiculed, as she feared. On the contrary, her habit caught on and the ritual of a small treat, of niceties and tea, became popular and well k nown as «Afternoon tea».
