It’s what to eat! for the family and friends of YT
By popular demand, beer, wine and spirits selection expands Now, when guests want to relax with a glass of Chardonnay, or have a cold beer with their burger, they can go to any Yours Truly Restaurant. At the end of last year, beer, wine and spirits were officially added to the menu at all eight Yours Truly Restaurants. Prior to that, alcoholic beverages were on the menu only at select Yours Truly locations. Yours Truly Restaurants President Dixie Singer says, “The option to have a nice glass of wine or beer with lunch or dinner is something many of our guests have requested for years. We’re pleased that we can now offer that choice to all of our guests in every location.”
with their omelets or waffles. It’s a wonderful way to kick off the weekend!” White and red wines, including a local white wine, are available by the glass or bottle. For a small sampling fee, guests can try any of the wines before ordering. Varietals are updated regularly to keep offerings interesting and up to date. A selection of beer is on the menu – from traditional favorites like Budweiser and Miller Lite to Yuengling and Corona. Of course, local brews from Great Lakes Brewing Company are another popular choice. Beer is served in a chilled glass, perfect for pairing with appetizers or a wrap.
The spirits menu showcases a variety of beverage options, including drinks such as A YT Bloody Mary Happy Hours at all locations offer special Screwdrivers and Mimosas that make use pricing on beer and wine, along with disof Yours Truly’s freshly squeezed orange and counted pricing on select appetizers, sandwiches grapefruit juices. The importance of family dinners Dear Friends and Family,
Darlene Shibley Ziegenhagen
Do you enjoy family meal time? I know I do! For me, there’s nothing better than having my entire family sitting around a table, each sharing a highlight from our day.
I feel like many people are missing out on this precious daily event. Instead, they’re running from one activity to another during meal time or snacking in front of the television or computer. Here are a few reasons why family meal time is important.
Family dinners are:
• A chance to cherish loved ones and catch up on what’s happening in their lives • An opportunity to reassure those who are struggling • Good for the body since family meals are often more nutritious and balanced • A way for children to develop better language skills. Let’s not lose sight of the importance of family meal time. Remember, it doesn’t have to be a home-cooked meal (carryout is fine!), and it doesn’t have to take place at your dining room table (a restaurant table or booth is a great alternative). Simply sit down to eat and enjoy each other’s company.
Enjoy, Darlene Shibley Ziegenhagen
Fish Fryday is popular year round At Yours Truly, every Friday is Fish Fryday, when lightly battered filet of cod, served with coleslaw and cottage fries or redskins is on the menu. Can’t wait until Friday? The delicious Tavern Fish Sandwich is on the menu daily! It’s a lightly battered filet of cod, served with tartar sauce and coleslaw.
Family dinner facts Family dinners are more important than play, story time and other family events in the development of vocabulary of younger children. (Harvard Research, 1996) Adolescent girls who have frequent family meals, and a positive atmosphere during those meals, are less likely to have eating disorders. (University of Minnesota, 2004) Kids who eat most often with their parents are 40% more likely to say they get mainly A’s and B’s in school than kids who have two or fewer family dinners per week. (National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse at Columbia University)

part of the week.” Week by week, the number of children at YT Kids Night is growing, according to YT Hudson General Manager Jerry Wisniewski. Zupon says the secret to her success is letting the kids choose what they’d like to do for the evening.
“Sometimes we do crafts or we make up games. Their favorite is the alligator game,” she says. The Laurel School senior, who plans to become a lawyer, is on the speech and debate team and will head to Tufts University in the fall.
Zupon works at Yours Truly Hudson and serves as the Kids Night hostess on Monday evenings. Hudson resident Lisa Kaulig says her daughter, Samantha, 5, asks to come to Yours Truly after dance class because of Zupon.
