Truly Yours® Bedding Products FAQ Q. Are the new Truly Yours pillows made with Down and Feather? A. No, the products use a synthetic micro-denier fiber that is hypoallergenic. Q. In the past, the pillows seemed to get smaller and smaller until they were nearly square. Will that happen with these? A. There are many things that differentiate the new Truly Yours® pillows from the older program pillows. First, they are 2” longer than the old pillows (28” vs. 26”). Second, they have been “sanforized” to reduce the shrink rate of the cotton shells. Third, the corded edge is now a self-cord which means that it is also sanforized to reduce shrink (that was not the case on the old program). Finally, the fiber is a different type of micro-denier designed to be much more resilient. Q. Am I required to use a pillow protector on the pillows in addition to a pillow case? A. No, CHI is not requiring the use of pillow protectors. However, this is really a question of how often you want to replace the pillows. Not using a pillow protector will substantially decrease the longevity of your pillows and their performance. Think of it…would you buy a home and not add a roof or would you buy a mattress and then not use sheets or a mattress pad? Pillow protectors = longer use of your pillows. Q. Will the new pillows fit my Standard size pillow protectors and pillow cases? A. Yes, the new size pillows will fit either the Standard, Super Standard, or Queen pillow cases. Standard cases and protectors will give the products a more firm feel and look. Q. Are the new Truly Yours pillows machine washable/Dryable? A. Yes, all of the new filled bedding products are washable. Instructions are found on the care tags and tips and procedures can be found at www.choicebuys.com. Be careful not to use too high of a wash/dry temperature and most important, do not overfill the dryer. Q. The blankets don’t look like the blankets we used to use. Do I have the right item? A. CHI approved a “good”, “better”, “best” program for the blankets. As long as you have ordered the UltraEssence, Duralux, or Hospitality Down Blanket manufactured by Pacific Coast Feather Company (Restful Nights), you do indeed have the correct product. These products are “filled” blankets as opposed to the older woven blankets which is why they look a bit more like a comforter.

Q. Are all of the products Choice Hotels or Comfort Inn and Suites logo tagged? A. All of the products except the Hospitality Down Blanket will carry a Choice Hotels International logo label. Q. Do I have to have both soft and firm pillows on the bed? If so, why? A. Yes both styles of pillow must be present on the bed. This gives the guest a choice of which comfort level they want to sleep with at night. This is a key part of the Truly Yours program and an important feature to our guests. Q. How do I tell the Soft and Firm pillows apart on the bed? A. The manufacturer has provided a green logo label for the Microfil® Soft pillow and a blue logo label for the Microfil® Firm pillows. You will also immediately notice a difference in the way the feel. Q. Can I order directly from the Manufacturer? A. No, all orders must flow through a Choice Qualified Vendor (either a distributor or a procurement company). The manufacturer is not allowed to sell direct to the properties. Q. When will the new Truly Yours® program be available for purchase? A. The program is available for purchase now through Choice Hotels International Qualified Vendors. However, the first ship/availability of goods is mid- to late August. If you have an urgent need of blankets, the Duralux blanket (only in White) is the approved interim blanket and that is available for order and ship immediately. Q. Can I use different types of blankets throughout the property as long as they are one of the 3 approved options or does it need to be 1 blanket style throughout the hotel? A. Multiple blankets can be used although it is encouraged to use the same blanket in one room. 2 different styles of blanket in the same room would look very inconsistent and not in line with the new program’s feel. Q. How many of each pillow do I need to have on the bed? A. Exact specs can be found on the brand pages for all design elements. A King bed will have 5 pillows (3 Firm in the back, 2 Soft in the front). A Queen and/or Full bed will have 4 pillows (2 Firm in the back and 2 Soft in the front)
