Fundraiser 2017 Directors of MMS Orchestra

We will be starting our annual fundraiser on Friday, September 15. This is our only fundraising event of the school year! We will be raising money for concert venues, extracurricular events, student activities, guest clinicians, supplies, and equipment used by students in our program. We will be selling Cookie Dough/Magazines again this year. The idea is that you and any willing family members can renew existing subscriptions through this fundraiser and benefit our Orchestra program! We will be going into great detail with our students on how they can make this fundraiser a success, and how to handle all the specifics like forms and money. Orders will arrive mid to late October. Our fundraiser has two parts. Part one involves students collecting addresses of 10 family members who do not live nearby (someone who our students won’t see within the next few weeks). These addresses are then transferred to a postcard booklet and turned in to their Orchestra director. Each family member will receive the postcard through the mail that will invite them to renew (or purchase) any magazine subscriptions they wish. There is no obligation, and their names are not placed on any sort of mailing list. If you are not comfortable with this part of the fundraiser, no problem, this section is simply a service to those interested. Part two involves people you know, such as family, neighbors, co-workers, and anyone else who might be willing to support your child in the Murphy MS Orchestra Program. 1 – We want each child to help to make our fundraiser a success. We’re asking our students to get ELEVEN Sales/Subscriptions (renewals or new subscriptions). We DO NOT want kids to go door to door in their neighborhoods. Churches, parent’s workplace, neighborhood friends, and families are great places to find people who will support our Orchestra program. D O NOT COLLECT MONEY AT THIS TIME 2 – If you would rather Opt-Out, simply send a d onation check for $55.00 (made out to Plano ISD), we may not use PayPams this year is the same as 11 sales. 3 – It’s also possible to do some ordering online. Check out G aschoolstore.com Our School ID# is 436451. T here are more than just magazine subscriptions available at this website! We get credit for any sales using this code. Some parents have sent this information to friends or family in their email address books or used social media. 4 – When kids fill out the order forms, they need to give the customer the pink copy and return the yellow and white copies to the Murphy Orchestra. Customers pay in October, when the orders are delivered to the customer. They can check the status of their orders with the phone number and website on the pink receipt. 5 – All checks are made out to Plano ISD (please include your child’s name and ID# on each check). 6 – Please turn in all forms by Tuesday September 25. 7 -- Orders are delivered to MMS in Mid October, Students will collect Money upon delivery to the customer Thank you very much for supporting our Orchestra program!
