Live Oak Academy Supplies List for First Grade 2017-2018 For the Classroom 

Supply box, Sterlite Large Clip box #1963 14” x 11” x 3.25” is highly recommended, available at Target and Amazon. These boxes have proven to work far better for storage, use, and access at the student’s desk based on their shape, capacity, and design. This box reduces spills and the need for students to dig through their box looking for the needed item.



Crayola 18-Count Twistable Colored pencils, 1 box (Please purchase 18- count box, or 30-count box, as these include white and black. ) Colored pencils, 1 box of 24 or more NOTE: Erasable colored pencils do not color well. (Recommended brands are Prisma color or Sanford.) Markers, 1 box of 10 or more mixed colors. (washable recommended) Crayola Pan Washable Watercolors, 24 colors plus paint brush Crayola crayons, 24 pack No. 2 pencils, 1 box (qty. 12) 3-sided or 6-sided, not round, with rubber, not latex, erasers Please sharpen pencils before sending them to school. Red pencils, qty. 2, 6-sided, with rubber erasers Large White Eraser – Pentel Hi-Polymer, Staedtler Mars Plastic, or Sanford Magic Rub recommended JUMBO glue sticks, qty. 3 (or 6 small ones) Glue, 1 bottle, Elmer’s pourable/liquid type Scissors, good quality that cut well and fit your child’s hand Baby Wipes, 1 package Expo white board markers, 4-pack, black, either broad tip or fine tip is fine Kleenex, 1 box Water bottle (reusable, refillable durable plastic or stainless steel). Please do not send disposable water bottles, as these tip and spill easily and crinkle noisily when gripped. Paint Smock – can be an old oversized T-shirt; something to cover to knees

Singapore Math Math Prima - Addition and Subtraction Flash Cards (0-12), Dice and cards to be used at home for Singapore Math games. Math Secunda - Base 10 blocks (One set per family; can be purchased at various stores), Addition and Subtraction Flash Cards (0-12) or wrap-ups for addition, subtraction, multiplication or division, Dice and cards to be used at home for Singapore Math games. For Home and School    

Two-pocket folders: one solid red and one solid green, plastic recommended for durability ½-inch binder, any color, new or used (Bring to school on the first day so that it can be filled with the penmanship worksheets. It will then stay at home.) Lunch box that will hold lunch and two snacks (morning and afternoon) Backpack – the kind with wheels are helpful.

Please label everything with your child’s name using a permanent marker, such as a Sharpie. Your student’s supply box and green folder will be stored in the classroom for use throughout the year. His/her lunch box, water bottle, and red folder will travel back and forth to school in his/her backpack.
