Standards: Geography Benchmark A #1 Lesson Summary: Students will work in groups to complete a geography activity on North and South Korea. In this activity students will be given a list of clues. Students must figure out what the geographical feature is and the label it on a map of North or South Korea. Teacher Portion: Teacher will use this lesson as an introduction to North and South Korea. This lesson will require 1-2 class periods depending on the students. 1. Split students into groups of two or three. 2. Then tell the students that they will be participating in a scavenger hunt. 3. Pass out the scavenger hunt activity sheets and 1 map per group. 4. Read the direction to the class. Directions: Your group has been given a list of clues, which you must solve. Then your group will use the answers to the clues to label your maps. These clues will help your group identify the important geographical and political features found on North and South Korea Maps. Each person is required to turn in the answer to the clues while only one map per group will be required. From this point answer any questions that may arise. 5.
