This lightweight yet durable all aluminum stairway has been adapted for a variety of waterfront applications where the portability and virtually maintenance-free features are best utilized. A 20’ Alumistair unit weights approximately 200 pounds, yet supports loads in excess of 1600 pounds. It can be carried and installed by two individuals. Corrosion resistant aluminum, ends for all time, the problems of painting and the danger of rotting. Its lifetime attractiveness will add immeasurably to the value and enjoyment of any waterfront property. Standard specifications are 45 degree approach angle, 7” tread depth, 8” riser height and 32” stair width. handrails are 1” aluminum IPS pipe fastened to both sides of the unit. Standard lengths are 8’, 10’, 12’, 14’ 18’, and 20’. Alumistairs can also be custom fabricated for specific applications. Stairways in excess of 100' have been fabricated where conditions allow support structures to be installed at 20' intervals. Other options available include bulkhead brackets, leveling legs and lifting mechanisms.

NEW, MORE RUGGED DESIGN— The sturdy all aluminum construction of this gangway permits one-ton load capacities yet the longest units are light enough to be carried by two persons when used in conjunction with our Alumifloats in the various sizes, an entire waterfront installation may be easily removed in the event of serious storms or for seasonal storage. The top trussing increases the load capacity and lends support to the sturdy handrail, and in addition, does not interfere in areas of extreme tidal fluctuations where the ramp might lie directly across the top of a float. The addition of a center rail strengthens the cross members and eliminates any side motion. heavier and longer corner castings at the shore end and solid bar for the axles gives additional strength at the bulkhead hinge joint. The price includes rugged hanger brackets for the shore end of the Alumiramp and rubber tired aluminum wheels or 4" swivel casters at the float end. The walkway has cleats to provide additional foot grip where the ramp incline is unusually steep. Longer alumiramps are custom fabricated to special order. HOW TO ORDER: Stationary Alumidock® sections are designed for waterfront installations where the water level does not vary too much and only two factors need be considered. (1) The length, width and design of the pier required. (2) The approximate height of the standards required at each 8 foot interval.

A STARTER SECTION The shore end of this section has two additional pipe sockets attached through which the anchoring drive pipes are inserted and driven into the ground. (Note: if drive pipes are not required deduct $10.00 from the price of this section.)
CENTER SECTION B All center sections are equipped with two pivot pins at the shoreward end with hinge bars and pipe sockets to accommodate leg standard on opposite end. C END SECTION This section differs from the center section only that the pipe sockets for the leg standard are located on the extreme end to permit the addition of right or left hand hinge bars to accommodate the installation of end platform as illustrated. (Note: It is recommended that for additional stability that outrigger type standards be ordered for 32" section & 4' sections.)
CENTER END SECTION D This section is used as a platform to form a "T or L" either to right or left of main dock. If a "T or L" is not desired this section would be used as the final section on a straight dock. Construction is same as center section with deletion of hinge bars.

ALUMIFLOATS The expanded polystyrene floatation of these units is sandwiched or locked in under compression by a top and bottom framework of sturdy rectangular and tubular shaped aluminum members with specially designed aluminum planks fastened firmly by concealed rivets to make up the solid decking surface. The various fasteners which permit practical and functional designs by a simple “add-a-unit” method are described below.
ROLLER CHAIN PILING GUIDE Use to secure floats to either wooden pilings or pipe. Minimizes jambing or wedging in certain problem situations. Includes aluminum guide angles, aluminum wear plates, fasteners and rust resistant coated steel chain and rollers.

BLOCK ANCHOR AND CHAIN A definite security feature for your Alumifloat installation. The block anchor and chain used with the eye bolt assembly will keep your installation where you want it. The anchor, a gray iron casting, weighs ap-proximately 70#.

The 2’ wide soft upholstered weather-tested bench provides comfortable seating without compromising lifeguard alertness. The single 36” high guard rail assures safety without obstructing vision. Models available for secure mounting on both Alumidocks and Alumifloats and for free-standing use on the beach or in the water. The free-standing model can be easily moved by two persons. The marina plank is for the marina owner who has satisfactory leg stantions in place, but is looking for a more reliable walkway to replace the unsafe, splintering wood planks he presently has. The all aluminum plank with slip resistant decking will give you many years of maintenance free service. Marina planks are custom made in lengths up to 30’ and width to 24” wide.
