Danfoss showcases the latest Turbocor innovations in high efficiency and lowGWP compressor technology at 2015 AHR Expo With a proud heritage of more than 20 years of designing and producing the world’s first oil-free variable speed magnetic bearing centrifugal compressor, Danfoss continues to bring to the HVAC market the most innovative and uniquely-designed compressor technology, a result of dedication and passion for engineering, built around uncompromised quality and performance. During the 2015 AHR Expo in Chicago, Danfoss showcased the new, awardwinning Turbocor VTT series of compressors with IntraFlowTM technology and the environmentally progressive Turbocor TG310 compressor. Turbocor VTT series of compressors receives AHR Expo Innovation Award Based on proven Turbocor TT series compressor technology, Turbocor VTT (Variable Twin Turbo) compressors are oilfree, variable-speed, magnetic bearing centrifugal compressors ideal for commercial air-conditioning or process cooling chillers reaching up to 1,000 tons or more – and are the 2015 recipient of the AHR Expo Innovation Award in the green building category. The VTT series of compressors is the first to introduce IntraFlowTM technology, an innovative and patent-pending technology that improves compressor efficiency and provides the largest stable operating range of any centrifugal compressor while simplifying capacity control. IntraFlowTM technology eliminates the cost and complexity of inlet guide vanes (IGV) or mechanical variable geometry diffusers. Plus, because the compressors are oil free, end users experience lower maintenance costs associated with traditional systems that can suffer from chronic lubrication problems. Simply Robust – Using only a flow valve to direct refrigerant, there are no moving parts needed to manipulate aerodynamic conditions. Superior Range – Increased turn-down capabilities extend the stable operating envelope far beyond what can be achieved using IGV or variable geometry/mechanical diffusers. Best-In-Class Efficiency – Improves full-load efficiency and delivers the highest part-load efficiency in the industry. Danfoss Turbocor VTT Compressor

The Danfoss Turbocor VTT series of compressors has nominal capacity ranges from 200 to 350 tons for voltage applications between 380 and to 460Volts, as well as 575Volts. These models are intended for water-cooled or evaporative cooled chiller applications and will carry the ETL and CE PED mark.

Turbocor TG310 compressors combine low-GWP with high-efficiency technology The Turbocor TG310 compressor is a highly energy-efficient and environmentally progressive compressor that provides the innovation customers expect from the pioneer and world leader of oil-free, centrifugal compressors for the HVAC industry with the environmental benefits of ultra-low GWP refrigerant HFO-1234ze(E). The TG310 compressor delivers all the benefits of oil-free operation and offers chiller manufacturers an opportunity to lead in environmental sustainability for large capacity water chillers. Additional features and benefits of TG310 compressors include: • Cooling capacity: Nominal capacity of 300 tons. • Advanced efficiency: TG310 compressors provide high efficiency performance at full load and extraordinarily high efficiency at partload conditions. • Refrigerant: The environmentally progressive HFO-1234ze(E) is a safe and energy-efficient alternative to traditional refrigerants. It´s aligned with eco-design directives and reduces direct CO2 emissions by 99.6 percent. Its atmospheric life is a mere 18 days compared to the 13-year lifespan of R134a. HFO-1234ze(E) also meets the EU’s FDanfoss Turbocor TG310 Compressor gas regulation, as HFOs are not considered fluorinated greenhouse gases. • Environmental impact: Ultra-low GWP (<1) and zero ODP. • Accurate cooling: TG310 compressors precisely match cooling requirements (±0.5 degrees Fahrenheit) to control temperature and humidity, which are critical for optimum comfort and process. • Easy installation and reliability: A two-stage, oil-free, lightweight (approx. 290 lbs.) compressor with onboard digital electronics, TG310 compressors enhance reliability and make installation easier. • Application: Single and multiple compressor applications. These compressors currently are available for applications with 400Volts/50Hz power supplies and are intended for air-cooled chiller systems. The TG310 compressor carries the CE PED mark. “Danfoss is committed to engineering innovative and industry-leading compressor technology,” commented Frank Ford, director of product management for Danfoss Turbocor Compressors. “We designed the new Turbocor VTT series of compressors to help our customers meet the ever-increasing demands for energy efficiency at both full and part-load conditions – including the new ASHRAE 90.1 efficiency standards. Turbocor TG310 compressors also take today’s challenges head on, combining the benefits of oil-free, variable speed magnetic bearing technology with those of a sustainable refrigerant and enabling OEMs to manufacture chillers that meet low-GWP regulations around the world.” “Danfoss Turbocor Compressors is honored to have been recognized – for the third time – with a 2015 AHR Expo Innovation Award for this engineering innovation.” For more information, please visit http://turbocor.danfoss.com. ### For more information: Frank Ford, Director of Product Management, [email protected] Related links: http://turbocor.danfoss.com
