Timeless Service The summer was busy for Little Miss Fashionetta Contestants. On Saturday July 16 Contestants Mariah Harris, Destiny Burton, and Jasmine Cooper enjoyed a fun and rewarding day. It began with a photo opportunity. Dr. Ray Spain took portraits which will appear in the pageant Souvenir Booklet. Dr. Spain was assisted by Jamil Spain. Then, there was a cultural activity. The contestants viewed a DVD which explained the significance of Mardi Gras and showed actual parades in the city of New Orleans. They had lots of fun designing and coloring their own Mardi Gras masks. Lastly, there was the service project. Our young contestants prepared gift bags of toiletries for the residents at Magnolia Gardens Nursing Facility. At the facility they played bingo with the residents and handed out the gift bags.
