The Gogebic-Iron Wastewater Board is accepting applications for a full-time professional Wastewater Operator. While preference is for applicants holding a Class D Wastewater Operator certification, applicants demonstrating an ability to obtain the required Class D wastewater certification will be considered.
Professional wastewater operators enjoy participating in challenging and exciting field that holds many long-term benefits and rewards. Working within a team of fellow operators, the successful candidate will be given the training to develop their position into a career with much personal satisfaction.
Minimum Requirement include: Applicants must have at least a H.S. Diploma or General Education Certificate and be able to demonstrate their capability to achieve a class “D” wastewater operator certificate within the first two years of employment. Applicants also must possess a valid driver’s licenses and a copy on the date of hire. Ability to obtain a CDL within one year of hire.
Wages and Benefits: Wages start at $20.97/hr. for applicants holding a Class D Wastewater Certification Wages start at $10.50/hr. for applicants with no Wastewater Certification.
