Effects of Concomitant Temozolomide and Radiation Therapies on WT1-specific T-cells in Malignant Glioma Yasuyoshi Chiba, Naoya Hashimoto, Akihiro Tsuboi, Yoshihiro Oka, Ayako Murao, Manabu Kinoshita, Naoki Kagawa, Yusuke Oji, Naoki Hosen, Sumiyuki Nishida, Haruo Sugiyama and Toshiki Yoshimine Our analyses on the blood samples of patients with malignant gliomas revealed that radiation/temozolomide therapy did not significantly affect the frequency of WT1-specific T-cells.
Clinical Trials 404
Phase I and Pharmacokinetic Study of ABI-007, Albumin-bound Paclitaxel, Administered Every 3 Weeks in Japanese Patients with Solid Tumors Kazuhiko Yamada, Noboru Yamamoto, Yasuhide Yamada, Toru Mukohara, Hironobu Minami and Tomohide Tamura ABI-007 administered every 3 weeks was well tolerated up to 300 mg/m2, and the recommended dose was determined as 260 mg/m2 in consideration of efficacy, toxicities and similarity of pharmacokinetic profile in Western studies.

Gemcitabine-based Cytotoxic Doublets Chemotherapy for Advanced Pancreatic Cancer: Updated Subgroup Meta-analyses of Overall Survival De-rong Xie, Qiong Yang, Deng-lin Chen, Zhi-min Jiang, Zhuo-fei Bi, Wen Ma and Yuan-dong Zhang Meta-analysis indicated a significant survival benefit when gemcitabine was either combined with capcitabine or oxaliplatin. Pancreatic cancer patients with a poor performance status had worse survival benefit from gemcitabine-based doublets.

Development of a Predicting Tool for Survival of Terminally Ill Cancer Patients Ichinosuke Hyodo, Tatsuya Morita, Isamu Adachi, Yasuo Shima, Akitaka Yoshizawa and Kazuaki Hiraga A survival prediction tool, Japan Palliative Oncology Study-Prognostic Index (JPOS-PI), composed of five significant predictors (physician’s clinical prediction of survival, consciousness, pleural effusion, white blood cell count and lymphocyte %) was developed.
