G-199-3-C9173-A HQ1303 Printed in Japan (MDOC)

New Publication, effective Mar. 2013. Specifications are subject to change without notice.

Since the 1950s, Mitsubishi Electric has been providing power distribution equipment and systems matched to the needs of the era. Now, inheriting the technologies and reliability forged from this manufacturing record of over half a century, the MS Series switchgear realizes the next evolutionary step forward. Page

MP Series multi-relay ● Combining the MP23 and wide-range CT makes it easy to cope with the changes in load capacity by using only the CT ratio setting changes of the multi-relay (CT setting ranges are 60~600A and 200~2,000A). ● Display lights protrude from the panels to enhance visibility when viewing panels from side-on.

Easy maintenance

Consideration for easy maintenance ● Through vertical location of the main busbar, maintenance from the back of panels is simplified, reducing maintenance work. ● The number of bolts for busbar connection has been reduced. This contributes to easier maintenance to check the bolt condition.

ACCESSORIES

MS is designed with the benefit of Mitsubishi’s vast medium voltage panels production experience of hundreds of thousands of panels over the last almost 60 years. 3D-Thermo Fluid Analysis of the switchgear structure has led to a heat-resistant design in which circuit breakers up to 3150 A are self-cooled (i.e. cooling fans not required). The reduced number of parts decreases the chance of failure.

SAFETY Partitions between compartments and an automatic shutter system (for withdrawable equipment primary junctions) completely isolate live parts.

EASY INSTALLATION Installation and testing duration are considerably reduced as the panel is tested and adjusted in the factory and then delivered as a complete unit.

Standard equipping of MP Series digital multi-relays realizing even higher reliability For the protective control device, MP Series digital multi-relays equipped with protection/control functions are adopted. Failsafe/Accident diagnosis functions are equipped, realizing an even high level of reliability. Furthermore, adding an optional transducer/transmission function and overall computerization of the power distribution equipment simplifies the interface with the central monitoring and control equipment.

High reliability ●The MP Series digital multi-relay centralizes measurements, protection and control functions into one unit, reducing wiring inside the panel by 50%.

High functionality ●As a result of adopting the MP Series digital multi-relay and wide-range CT, it is not necessary to replace the CT in response to load changes. In addition, through adopting a composite CT*1 (optional), it is possible to achieve simplification of the ZCT high-voltage cable processing.

Optional accessory

Earthing truck ( Upper Terminal*1 ) *1 Lower terminal is also available.
