The 2017 IPA Best Of The Best Under $5 Million Operating

at an IPA Best of the Best level is a notable

accomplishment for any firm, particularly those with less than $5 million in net revenues. The Best of the Best Under $5 Million operate with a relatively small staff – from seven to 26 employees – yet their performance is indicative of firms much larger than theirs. Many of these firms have adopted some of the sophisticated structures, policies and systems normally seen in much larger firms.

The 2017 IPA Best Of The Best Canadian Firms As

part of IPA’s ongoing commitment to identify and recognize high-performing firms

across North America, we once again are highlighting the five Best of the Best Canadian firms. These firms, ranging in size from $6 million to $28 million, represent the top 20% of the highest performing firms that participated in the 2017 IPA Survey and Analysis of Firms. As a group, the dominant service line is audit, representing an average of 59% of total revenues for the five firms. Tax services represent just 23% on average of the firm’s total revenues. Other specialty areas of the group include business valuations, human resources

consulting, litigation support, mergers and acquisitions, family office and insolvency practices. Interestingly, three of the five firms are located within 15 miles of one another, in the highly
