Shell Rotella® T2

RELIABLE LUBRICATION

Multigrade Heavy Duty Diesel Engine Oils Shell Rotella® T2 Energized ProtectionTM oils use proven combinations of additives that react to the varying needs of your engine. They include active dispersants to carry away dirt, keeping the engine clean. Each dedicated additive releases its protective energy when needed, to ensure reliable and consistent protection against deposits and wear and to resist thickening by heat. Approved by leading engine makers, suitable for most heavy duty applications including turbocharged engines.

Performance Benefits

Multigrade Benefits Compared to monograde oils, Rotella® T2 can deliver the user a range of benefits associated with the use of multigrade oils. These include reduction of oil consumption by up to 30%*, longer oil life and improved fuel economy.

Protection for Turbocharged Engines Unlike some lower cost multigrade oils, Rotella® T2 can be confidently used in many turbocharged engines to provide protection and long engine life.

Piston Cleanliness Rotella® T2 uses advanced formulation chemistry which delivers piston cleanliness that meets the standards of Mercedes-Benz 228.3.

*

Wear Control The protection and durability of Rotella® T2 is demonstrated through exceptional control of valve train wear. Outstanding Viscosity Control The additive chemistry in Rotella® T2 minimizes viscosity loss due to shear and viscosity thickening due to soot – this helps the oil stay in grade for better engine operation.

Applications

Severe Duty Heavy Duty Diesel Engines Shell Rotella® T2 provides outstanding protection in heavy-duty diesel and mixed fleets in all types of over the road service, including engines with EGR.

Off-Highway Applications Suitable for use in agricultural, mining, logging, and construction applications, even with high levels of fuel Sulfur. Heavy Duty Transmissions Suitable for use in heavy duty transmission applications requiring Allison C-4.
