TAS-tms, leader in Belgium on transport management systems, is convincing French & Dutch carriers New customers in France and a stronger position in Belgium and in the Netherlands Brussels, Belgium, 18th of March 2014 – TAS-tms, the Transport Management System (TMS) solution chosen by more than 300 carriers in Belgium, and part of Wolters Kluwer Transport Services (WKTS), is now offering its products to French and Dutch transport companies to help them manage electronically their daily transport activities, including route planning, document management and invoicing, and thus reduce operational costs. First launched in 1984, the TAS-tms software quickly became a benchmark in the automation of administration at transport companies. Although the brand name changed a few times over the years – from ICS Computers to Transics, then from Transwide Carrier TMS to TAS-tms today, as part of Wolters Kluwer Transport Services – the engineers stayed loyal to their vision of developing solutions that are one step ahead of developments in the transport industry and that can be adapted to the specific needs of transport companies. Just before the celebrations of its 30th birthday, 2013 proved to be a strong year for TAS-tms. The company kept and extended its leading position in Belgium and expanded its market share outside, with 20 new implementations in the Netherlands & Belgium, and 11 in France. TAS-tms succeeded in its penetration of the French market, with a whole sales team in place to sell the solution in France. “Combining 30 years’ experience in the transport industry, our engineers are fully aware of what transport companies really need. We also know that every company is unique and has different requirements. That is why the modular TAS-tms software can be easily adjusted to meet the specific requirements of a company, and to evolve with their growing needs,” says Patrick Deleye, Operations Manager for TAS-tms. “French transporters can now benefit from our user-friendly and effective administrative software to help them manage administration and planning, follow up all orders easily and efficiently, and handle invoicing processes.” Indeed, TAS-tms can be connected to other existing tools and devices, such as e-invoicing and accounting software, planning systems and on-board computers. Furthermore, the TAS-tms product is also now well connected with the other solutions of Wolters Kluwer Transport Services. It is now easier to post freight on the Teleroute freight exchange directly from the TAS-tms software. And other applications from Transwide are directly connected with TAStms.

Patrick Deleye concludes: “TAS-tms is the perfect tool for any kind of transport - the direct link between the carrier and its customers. We are now proposing 30 years’ experience at the disposal of French transporters, allowing them to focus on what really matters: the health and growth of their business.”
