Who We Are: medica Liberia (mL) formerly medica mondiale Liberia is a non-governmental women’s right organization working in Liberia. Our Organization offers support to women and girls who have been affected by sexual gender based violence (SGBV). Since 2006, medica Liberia has been implementing programs for women and girls in Liberia’s South-eastern parts and recently extended its coverage to Montserrado and Margibi Counties respectively, through funding from the German Government and other donors. In this regard, mL is recruiting staff for the following positions: 1.) County Coordinator 2.) M&E Officer 3.) RH Counselor 4.) Community Outreach Worker 1.) Position Title: County Coordinator Duty Station: Sinoe (with frequent travels to other projects sites) Position Status: Full Time Reports to: Head of Program Position summary Coordinate, implement and supervise mL County level program management - Project, Finance, Logistics, Human Resource, Monitoring and Evaluation. Key Responsibilities   

Build and maintain SGBV protection network with mL team in the county Support and monitor all mL field staff Coordinate all protection activities with local actors



Support District Counselor in strengthening SGBV-support groups

Ensure that mL provides tailor made safety nets in schools of the key-target populations in order to reduce SEA, SGBV and teenage pregnancies in Schools  At the county level create activities to reactivate a dynamic and creative space for women and girls to meet and exchange  Undertake other management responsibilities in relation to mL staff SGBV – Case work  Support and supervise District Counselor and Support Groups in basic case management  Monitor the documentation, referral and follow up of cases for all components.  Coordinate radio program sensitization with other potential partners active in creating awareness for strategic communication campaign on women’s rights, gender equality and similar topics

 Keep all information confidential and respect the wishes and needs of all mL clients Admin /Finance    

Monitor work hours, annual and sick leave of all field staff Support the local Finance/Admin Assistant with the logistic and administrative management of the county office and the warehouse, including an updated inventory and monitoring stock cards, and maintenance of Vehicles, motorcycles and generators. Manage & document monthly county –level funds & expenditure with Finance Monitor all payments and conduct daily financial cash counts with finance

Planning and Reporting  Prepare weekly, monthly and yearly program work plans  Prepare monthly Activity, operational and financial projection 

Personal Skills  Feminist background and a clear commitment to work with a women centred and empowering approach  High degree of cross-cultural competence; respect for different nationalities, ethnicities, and religions  High level of accountability to survivors of sgbv, the Liberian team, the Head Office of medica mondiale, partners, donors, and identification with medica Liberia’s mission and vision  Flexible and innovative  Analytical skills  Approachable and communicative  Self aware Qualification and Experience:  AA or BSC degree in Nursing, midwifery, Psychosocial or legal field.  Must have worked with or should have experience with the NGO sector.  Must have held supervisory position especially at the field level.  Minimum of three years’ work experience especially with donor projects.  Knowledge of computer software, Excel & PowerPoint for documentation.

2.) Position Title: M&E Officer Duty Station: Field based (with frequent travels to other projects sites) Position Status: Full Time Reports to: Head of Program Position summary Working in close collaboration with the Program Officer and County Coordinator, the Monitoring and Evaluation Officer (M&E Officer) will support medica Liberia (mL) in the implementation of its’ M&E activities. The M&E Officer will have the primary responsibility of supporting mL’s M&E activities in South East Liberia. Key responsibilities:         

Manage day to day operations of the M&E system Manage the collection and collation of data from the field Manage the collection of thematic reports from the field Regularly update mL’s tracking database Coordinate and undertake regular monitoring visits to field sites in ml’s operational counties Synthesize and analyze data for summaries and thematic reports on M&E Undertake staff training activities at field level to ensure the quality of staff outputs within ml’s M & E framework. Maintain regular and timely interactions with M & E support staff of ml’s project partners including attendance at meetings as required. Keep all information confidential and respect the wishes and needs of all mL clients

Other Responsibilities:  Support program teams on M&E related activities during project planning and end of project closures.  Perform other tasks that may be assigned from time to time by supervisors.  Keep abreast of the latest developments in the M&E network with partner organizations for best practices and technical assistance.  Undertake other management responsibilities in relation to mL staff

Qualification and Experience:  BSC or AA degree in Demography, Statistics, Mathematics, Sociology and Certificate in Monitoring and Evaluation  At least two years’ experience in monitoring and evaluation  Knowledge of computer software, Excel & Access for documentation.  Good planning and organizational skills.  Must be flexible, have the ability to multi-task and handle pressure.  Good interpersonal skills and communication skills as well as analyzing reports  Experience in working on SGBV projects.  Knowledge of Gender Based Violence Information Management System (GBVIMS) is an advantage  Knowledge in designing and managing an indicator tracking table (ITT) is an added advantage

3.) Position Title: Sexual Reproductive Health Rights Counsellor Duty Station: Sinoe County (with frequent travels to other projects sites) Position Status: Full Time Reports to: Program Officer Position summary Provide Sexual Reproductive Health (S&RH) Services to survivors of SGBV and provided trainings aimed at strengthening SGBV services through sensitization on the health consequences of SGBV in close cooperation with Health Sector Partners. Key responsibilities: A.) SEXUAL AND REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH EDUCATION  Sensitize communities (schools, health institutions and to key partner’s staff about healthrelated consequences of SGBV consequences at.  Provide training for Trained Birth Attendants (TBA’s), Trained Traditional Midwives (TTM’s), Registered Nurse, etc… on the health consequences of S/GBV within the county in close cooperation with health sector partners.  Train Support Groups, Girls Clubs, Watch Teams, Solidarity Groups, and Core

Committees in the delivery of quality information on Sexual and Reproductive Health.  Contribute to the development of sensitization material (hands-outs, visual aids, etc.) to educate on S&RH issues.  Network and partnership with the County Health team and health agencies to coordinate and partake in trainings. B.) PROTECTION  Participate in county level health pillar meetings alternating within the assigned county.  Identify training needs of Support Group Women, Girls Clubs, Core Committees(Local Community Leaders) , Watch Teams and Health Practitioners .  Advise and liaise with program manager and advocacy officer to advocate on improvements for medical policies affecting a successful response to SGBV. C.) S/GBV CASEWORK  Provide SRH Counseling, do internal and external referrals of SGBV survivors  Ensure the application of the legally approved medical report form at county health facilities to cater the possible legal prosecution of an SGBV case. D.) PLANNING, REPORTING and DOCUMENTATION  Ensure proper documentation of incidents of SGBV at the health centers  Prepare weekly, monthly work plans  Provide regular reports in accordance with mL reporting schedule  Undertake other management responsibilities in relation to mL staff  Personal Skills  Feminist background and a clear commitment to work with a women centred and empowering approach  Flexible and innovative  Analytical skills  Approachable and communicative  Self aware Qualification and Experience:  AA, BSC degree in Nursing or midwifery  Knowledge in Counseling. 4.) Position Title: Community Outreach Worker Duty Station: Monrovia Position Status: Full Time Reports to: Project Coordinator Position summary Support the SGBV support groups in strengthening mL SGBV protection activities. Facilitate an effective SGBV case internal and external referral of SGBV survivors in consultation with supervisor and mL Senior Staff. Facilitate to sensitize populations in key topics as directed by ST and mL. Liaise with stakeholders on community level. Key responsibilities: PROTECTION  Strengthen and maintain the SGBV-protection network within the assigned community of the county  Visit and support SGBV support groups on a weekly basis  Liaise and coordination of work through weekly district based visits to police stations, health centres, schools, elders, etc. for collecting data, S/GBV case management or conduct sensitization activities with support groups  Conduct SGBV awareness raising using either group work or house-to-house awareness as suitable communication strategy.  Identify S/GBV, SEA, harmful traditional practices and other conflictive cases for systematic reporting, including compromised cases. SGBV – Case work  Provide supportive counseling to survivors of S/GBV. Advise and refer them for available mL counseling, medical, legal and protection services as appropriate.  Ensure systematic reporting from support groups and all women’s groups to mL for weekly data compilation and to ensure case-follow..  Liaise with and seek advice from reproductive health trainer and community advocate trainer on different aspects of cases and sensitization issues. Planning and Reporting  Prepare weekly operational reports  Prepare and submit weekly, monthly work plans.  Support in updating the case management data base on a weekly and monthly basis for monthly, quarterly, bi-annual and donor reports  Undertake other management responsibilities in relation to mL staff
