Why are we changing Complimentary Card Insurance provider? From 1st July Zurich will no longer be offering Complimentary Card Insurance as a product, so Bankwest has obtained a new Insurance provider AGA Assistance Australia Pty Limited (trading as ‘Allianz Global Assistance’) on behalf of the insurer (Allianz Australia Insurance Limited) to ensure customers can continue to receive this benefit. Will the same types of Cover still be available? Yes, the same types of insurance and products that were covered under Zurich will also be available through Allianz Global Assistance. INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL INSURANCE Will the eligibility criteria for International Travel Insurance change? No, customers will still need to meet the following criteria, both Zurich & Allianz Global Assistance will provide cover (as relevant) as long as the following conditions are met: A cardholder automatically becomes eligible for this International Travel Insurance when they meet all of the following eligibility criteria: 1. they purchase a return overseas travel ticket before leaving Australia; and 2. they spend at least A$500 on their prepaid travel costs (i.e. the cardholder’s travel costs that they pay for before leaving Australia, which includes the cost of their return overseas travel ticket; and/or airport/departure taxes; and/or their prepaid overseas accommodation/travel; and/or any other of their prepaid overseas itineraryitems); and 3. they pay these costs by one (or a combination) of the following methods: •

by charging to their eligible credit card account; and/or



by redeeming their Bankwest More Reward points (excluding any points redeemed for Frequent Flyer programs); and/or



by paying with redeemable travel agency flight vouchers that were obtained by converting their Bankwest More Reward points.

Are the automatically covered Pre-existing medical conditions the same? Under the cover provided through Allianz Global Assistance from 1st July there will be additional pre-existing medical conditions which are automatically covered. Please note: that you will no longer be automatically covered for the following pre-existing medical conditions: Allergies, Epilepsy and Hip/Knee Replacement. From 1 July you will need to contact Allianz Global Assistance on 1800 785 918 to apply for cover for any of these three pre-existing medical conditions. Note that some restrictions may apply to a particular condition. Please refer to the Bankwest Complimentary Credit Card Insurance booklet for full details of limitations and exclusions. I purchased my travel before 1st July, and my pre-existing medical condition/s were automatically covered under the Zurich policy. Am I still covered for those pre-existing medical condition/s under the new Allianz Global Assistance policy? Yes, so long as you met the eligibility criteria for complimentary travel insurance before you left you are still covered for the remainder of your journey. I am travelling after 1st July, can I apply for cover for my pre-existing medical condition before I leave? If you are not covered under the conditions automatically covered, then contact the providers as follows:  If you book your return flights prior to 1st July then contact Zurich on 1800 672 010  If you book your return flights after 1st July then contact Allianz Global Assistance on 1800 785 918 I’m already approved & have paid an administration fee with Zurich for my pre-existing medical condition, will I still be covered? Yes, even if you have paid a fee and are covered, in the event that you need to make a claim, you will still be covered. If the event of the claim occurs prior to 1st July then contact Zurich on 1800 672 010 or if the event occurs after 1st July then contact Allianz Global Assistance on 1800 785 918. If I am already on my holiday when this notice is issued and I need to make an emergency claim, who do I contact? The emergency call number provided by Zurich will be switched over to Allianz Global Assistance on 1st July, so your call will still be answered and responded to. If I call the Zurich emergency number will this still be answered after 1st July? Yes, the Zurich emergency number will be transferred to Allianz Global Assistance and their medical team will assist as required.

CLAIM DETAILS Regardless of when the eligible purchase transaction(s) was debited to your account, details are as follows: If your event occurs prior to 1st July If your event occurs prior to 1st July and you need to make a claim.i.e. your baggage is delayed you can obtain claim forms and information at the Zurich website www.zurich.com.au. Click on the Credit & Debit card insurance tab and follow the links. You can also obtain claim forms by phoning Zurich on 1800 672 010. If your event occurs from 1st July Where your event occurs from 1st July and you need to make a claim you can obtain claim forms and information at the Allianz Global Assistance website www.allianzassistance.com.au/claims. You can also obtain claims forms by phoning Allianz Global Assistance on 1800 785 918.
