Overview

Towne Park was given the opportunity to generate additional revenue for the hotel, despite a 3% decrease in occupancy at the Four Star AAA/Diamond Hotel located in Orlando, Florida.

Results

Despite a 3% decrease in occupancy, revenue increased by $814,306 (31%) in a 12 month period when compared to the same period the year before. This increase in revenue was the direct result of better revenue control and management. Daily volume grew 37%, resulting in a revenue increase of $240,000 of revenue. Overnight drive-in ratio increased 5.4% as well, driving approximately $373,000, or 14%, of supplementary revenue. Even with a shift towards self-parking, revenue per vehicle increased from $10.23 to $12.05 (+18%). This increase of $1.82 resulted in approximately $259,000, or 10% of additional revenue.
