Additional Server Information Other Software MDS Medical recommends that Prime Suite is run exclusively on a server. Please contact MDS Medical’s Technical Service department if you plan to run other software on the Prime Suite Server. *Volume/Open Licensing is required to downgrade server OS or SQL software. Domain Controllers Prime Suite cannot be run from a Domain Controller. Terminal Servers Prime Suite cannot be run on the server it is installed on. If you wish to use a Terminal Server for remote users, you will need a separate Terminal Server either physical or virtual. Server 2008R2 is currently the only approved Terminal Server OS available. Virtualization MDS Medical strongly suggests the use of virtualization. MDS uses Citrix XenServer 6.2 as its current preferred virtualization technology. Other suitable technologies are available based on client preference and local support.

Peripheral Requirements Router / VPN Client

Prime Suite requires a VPN connection between the Prime Suite Server and the Greenway Prime Suite network in order to send electronic claims and download the latest Prime Suite content. There can be two configurations for this VPN. You can either use a Cisco ASA series router as your primary gateway, or you can use a Cisco ASA series router behind your current gateway as a VPN client to the Prime Suite Server. Both configurations require a Static IP Address. Gateway Configuration Recommendation

VPN Client Configuration Recommendation

Wireless Access Point

Document Scanners

With a gateway configuration the Cisco ASA would be configured as the main gateway on the network. In order to set up the VPN to the Greenway network the internal network would have to be configured with a network address supplied by MDS. This address corresponds with the site number assigned to the customer (i.e. 10.50.1.0/24) • Cisco ASA 5506-x (up to 50 users) • Cisco ASA 5512-x (50+ users) With a VPN Client configuration the Cisco ASA would sit behind the main gateway on the network and act only as a VPN client. The server would have to be dualhomed in this configuration and be assigned an internal IP address and a VPN IP address. • Cisco ASA 5506-x (up to 50 users) MDS Medical recommends using Cisco Wireless Access Points to ensure wireless stability. • Cisco WAP371 Wireless-N Access Point with Single point (a/b/g/n) • Cisco WAP571Wireless-N Access Point with POE (a/b/g/n) Prime Suite utilizes TWAIN drivers to scan documents. • Panasonic KV-S10x5C series or better • Fujitsu fi-61xx or 7x60 series

Printers

Fax Servers

Webcams

The Prime Suite Server needs to directly communicate with at least one network based printer for printing HCFA claims and patient statements. • HP LaserJet P2055n or P2055dn • Most LaserJet printers or multifunction PSC machines Electronic based fax services require either PDF (manual import) or multi-page TIFF which enables auto import functionality. Recommended servers include: • Multitech FaxFinder ff240 (2 port) • Multitech FaxFinder ff440 (4 port) • Multitech FaxFinder ff840 (8 port) With a webcam, you can take patient photos for the patient’s chart. • Logitech Webcam Pro series • Microsoft Lifecam series • HP Webcam series
