LEARNER COMMITMENT
I, ____________________________________, a learner Star Schools, understad the Code of Conduct and the implications and hereby also commit to: 1.
Understanding that Star Schools will NOT BE RESPONSIBLE for CONDUCTING and SUBMITTING any SBA’s (School Based Assessments).
2.
Understanding that Star Schools will not be responsible for correcting and rectifying issues if I have REGISTERED AT TWO DIFFERENT INSTITUTIONS. I will refrain from registering at Star Schools and at another institution. I further understand that if I ignore the above I will then write my examinations as an “irregularity” and that I will not hold Star Schools responsible for the delaying of my results.
3.
Understanding that Star Schools conducts Examinations at NASREC. It is my and my parents/ guardians’ responsibility in ensuring that I arrive at these destinations/venues on time. If I miss an exam I will NOT be allowed to rewrite in March of the next year as part-time learners do NOT qualify to write Supplementary exams.
4.
Understanding that the National Senior Certificate exams to be written in 2017 are CAPS aligned. This means that I will have to adapt and learn the CAPS curriculum. E.g. in Mathematics I will have to learn Geometry which I have not done previously.
5.
I will attend all my sessions for the subjects that I have registered for. I further understand that if my attendance is less than 80%, Star Schools has the right to deregister me and prevent me from writing the examinations without any refund of fees.
6.
I will commit myself to write all assessments as set out by Star Schools. If I am unable to write, then I will submit a medical certificate or a letter of motivation. This happen however does not guarantee that I will be able to write a “make-up assessment.”
7.
I fully understand that Star Schools will not process any refunds or cancellation after three weeks of registration and after the 31st March 2017.
